yes he is! and i'm doing pretty good. got my fullness back. only using the cayenne/evoo mix overnight once a week and cortizone and wgo for now until my mtg, which i pick up tomorro  . so i guess i'm seeing some results.

I have not found a solution to my hair loss. I have posted several threads but no responses accordingly. I guess I'm going to have to wait it out because I don't want to just try anything that no one else hasn't tried and achieved positive results. I experimented with daily washing & conditioning with Dr. Woods Almond Castile soap and Carol's Daughter Tui Conditioner and as a result (I'm 99% sure) I lost a lot of hair. I'll keep searching the boards and hopefully find what I need since I've found so many great tips and received great advice before.

Alona,
Describe the hair loss. Is it breakage, extreme shedding, balding patches?
Are you under a lot of stress? What are your eating habits? Are you dieting? Please respond.

I experienced extreme shedding all over, not in one particular spot or section. My level of stress decreased before the shedding and my eating habits actually improved. Basically, everthing is constant. Honestly, I think that the combination of products, (Dr. Woods Almond Castile Soap, Carol's Daughters' Tui Hair Smoothie, and Aubrey's Organics), and washing my hair every other day for 2 weeks is really the culprit.

I am currently wearing my hair in cornrows (under my wigs) as a protective style. I moisturize with Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter and Lisa's Hair Elixir about 2x's a week. I workout 3x's a week now and have decided to wash and condition my hair 2x's a month with Dr.Woods and Aubrey's Organic BUT NOT THE TUI HAIR SMOOTHIE...UGGGHHH!!! IT SUCKS!!! I've noticed that the less handling, the better my hair responds. I think that this method and the watered down poo & con (along with the elixir, castor oil, and Vitamin E combo on the scalp), will do the trick.

I was on the line thinnking the same thing, I recognized, him, but I couldnt figure out from where (park, club..):ohwell:. I just kept looking at the pic.

He IS BEAUTIFUL!!! I've seen him on some other stuff too. He only comes second to my baby...Michael Ealy. ;)
Oh, okay, back to the topic. The hair shedding thing seems to run rampid in black women's hair. I'm not sure why. I've stated before that I know women of other races and I've never heard of anyone, besides us, who deal with post partum hair shedding. I mean for months and months and tons of hair. Its crazy!!! I just don't get it. I went to a hair clinic today to have my hair and scalp analyzed and had in depth conversation with the analyst and she said my scalp and my hair appear to be very healthy and that was impressed with the things I do with my hair my nutritional habits. She was at a lost on why I was still losing hair. I bought a shampoo and conditioner from her because she did say that I had some dryness...true true. I haven't been able to get past the dryness no matter what I do so I'm hoping this helps that. I may have to go to a black derm who is well-known in Houston, and get cortinzone shots in my scalp to stop this. Otherwise, I'm out of options at this point. She also mentioned that they do UV scalp treatments that increase blood flow to the follicles but that she didn't think that I needed it since I don't have any balding or alopecia. SIGH...

Yeah, he is SOOOOOOOOOOOO fione!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black women are not the only ones to suffer from PP hair loss. My SIL is Italian and her hair was thin in the front when she had her children. I mean it didn't fall out or look bad, but it was thinner. After about a year it went back to being thick.

Really? Well, I could never be happy to hear that anyone goes through horrible shedding but it does poke a whole in my statement. Hormones are something else! I haven't had any children so I know mines is not from this.

Does the cayenne sting your scalp? I know when I've eaten foods seasoned with cayenne, it's a little hard on the tummy

I've yet to find a solution for my hair tangles, it's very annoying. I also haven't figured out what my hair needs in terms of a protein/moisture balance, so I still have slight breakage at the ends, but it's much better than before.

I did too  ... To the OP - Have you been to a dermatologist? Maybe they can help find the solution to your problem.

Update with hair issue...so far so good with the ORS aloe shampoo and ORS conditioner pack followed by Humecto  softer hair> My only nagging issue.... my ends are getting frizzy but not as much. I may need a good dusting.:ohwell:
