Anyone got news about Nioxin new vitamins????

last i heard was it was supposed to come out around september(as per nioxon thread 2 inches)...and we are around september...any news???:look:

bumping.

anyone purchase the new Nioxin formula yet? If so, which retailers are carrying it?

Thanks

i just started taking nioxin vitamins again yesterday cuz i cut most of my hair off -i have a full 90 capsule bottle but searched on amazon and its selling for almost 300 dollars they must be crazy they need to get it together before my supply runs out i didnt even know bout this

Supposedly the new re-formulated vitamins by nioxin run $179-$300, which is insane!

I began searching for something similar and came across a blog talking about Joico clinicure vitamins. They are made specifically for cancer patients to help regrow their hair after chemo. They cost about $9 for a 30 ct. and $16 for a 90 day supply on Amazon. They are supposed to work just as well. I will try them once my nioxin supplements are used up.

Hairomega 3 n 1 and Caribbean Hair Grow are very similar. I use Caribbean Hair Grow and I prefer it over Nioxin. Nioxin worked great, but this works better. Both cost under $30. Check out Amazon for reviews.

I just chatted with a representative at Proctor & Gamble, makers of Nixon .
The new formula HAS NOT been released nor has pricing. Tentative release timing is early first quarter 2013.

Also, the representative stated that Nioxin is a Salon Exclusive product - meaning that the product is intended for sale by Salons only and online retailers are "unauthorized" third party re-sellers of the products (oral and topical)
Translated all this means that sellers who are selling the Nioxin Recharging oral supplements at the crazy prices are:
1. Selling the "old" formula
2. PRICE GOUGING
3. Not AUTHORIZED TO SELL THE products.

For every instance of price gouging that I see I am going to forward to P&G. If there is enough noise in the system they will respond.

I have a Dominican Salon/Beauty supply in my area that has 8 bottles left, but they expire in December... Do you think they'll still be effective?

Still wondering when these pills are going to come out. I used to take them, but then they went up to a ridiculous price, so I switched to Hairfinity. I'm okay with Hairfinity results, so if Nioxin comes back, I will need to see some results on here before I pony up the kind of money I fear they will be asking.

I took about 8 months of those vitamins and they did not do squat for me so when the new ones come out I won't be purchasing

Saw this on the following site regarding Nioxin: http://mzmahoganychic.com/2012/05/10/nioxindisappearance/

Thank you for writing us and your patience as we work to provide updates in real time. In keeping with P&G’s founding principles, Wella, the salon professional channel, is committed to producing safe products through a strong and ongoing commitment to scientific research, testing and evaluation. This year Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs recommended discontinuing all products that contain Biotin and Horsetail extract. As a result, Wella Company is discontinuing NIOXIN Recharging Complex (vitamins) product line. We thank you for your understanding and continued support of NIOXIN.

Just talked to a nioxin rep yesterday and was told they are currently reformulating these vitamins and they new ones will be out in 12-18 months!:nono:

After I couldn't fine the nioxin vitamins I bought some of these..I'm on my second bottle.

billyne - what do you think of the Joico? I'm really on the hunt for some good replacements. Nioxin have been so good to my growth.

tasha7239 I got good growth from the nioxin vitamins too :cry2:.. I've been checking with cosmoprof whenever I go in and they say they are coming back, they just don't know when. I haven't really noticed anything spectacular with the joico vitamins, but then again this is only my second bottle..I'm thinking about taking 2 a day like I did nioxin and see if they start kicking in :yep:
