I have an appointment tomorrow with the Dominican Salon to get a relaxer. I have only let them do wash and sets in the past and they have also clipped my ends as well.

I asked the stylist what type of relaxer they used and she told me Alter Ego no-lye relaxer. I did a search here b/c i remember someone mentioning it but i only found one post on it.

Has anyone had any experience with this type of relaxer??

TIA!!

I didn't get this relaxer, but a girl in my Dom. salon did. Her hair came out gorgeous. She used the whole line of products. Her hair was blingin'.......

Sorry I could'nt be more helpful though.

thats what my slaon used to do my texlaxer...and i love it!

Thanks ladies for the replies! I went this morning and after running errands, I am back now. I am pleased with the way it turned out, it's just that when she told me it was a no-lye relaxer, I was wondering if that would be good for my hair or not (after reading the lye vs. no-lye thread here on the board).

I guess it will just depend on how I take care of my hair whether or not my hair will behave or not.

Thanks again for your help!

BB:)

Anyone else have any reviews or photos of their hair with this relaxer?
