It's by a guy from Lousiana w/ the last name "Lucas", but he stays in Houston and distributes the product.
Well, my new hairstylist just used it on my head. It's Lye-based and she says that it works for all of her clients. She used to buy several different relaxers according to her clients' tastes, but later switched everyone to the Lucas. Most of the other stylists in the salon have done the same thing.
Whatever the case, I know my hair looks good!
