Anyone ever go to a beauty school for a rollerset?

I did and I love it. I had to re style it once I got home, but the set was nice. Definitley worth my $6.00.

I got a rollerset at a beauty school and didn't really care for it - cheap products, poor setting technique. However, I've gotten other stuff done at a different school and it was just fine. I say give it as shot. Given the price, you don't have much to lose if you don't like it.

No, I haven't but my best friend raved about this beauty school around here. She said they did an excellent job on here rollerset and wrap. Said it was only $7. Me personally, I don't go to salons...or let anyone else do my hair.

I have too, well worth the 6 dolllars, although I don't go often, the wait time is crazy. I have a girlfriend that goes every week and her hair always looks nice.

I went ONCE and ONLY ONCE, the girl jacked my rollerset up!!!!!!!! I have a lot of hair and she used really, really big rollers with mouse! My hair looked like a dang beehive! As I was walking out of the school everyone was looking at me and saying "dayum". I was about 17, and soo emberassed, I will never do it again...I did not pay though...I was pissed!

I have gone myself, with okay results. I mainly take my little girl for a wash, blow straight, maybe a flat iron and that's it. I've been pleased the times I've taken her. I would suggest that if you go...go on a fresh perm (maybe a week or two old).

I have gone a few times, when I didnt feel like rolling my own hair. But they use that cheap setting lotion that makes the comb out hard. I asked them if I could bring my setting lotion and they refused. I guess you get what you pay for.

Good for you not going to salons, that is why your hair is still on your head! If I had a salon hair dryer and knew how to relax my own hair I would never go to another hair stylist!!!!
