I see some people co wash on dry hair because you think of a sponge, you hair will be able to take in more moisture when it's dry than wet! I tried it a while back and idk if the conditioner was too thick but actually made me lose a lot of hair so never again! But I look on you tube and a girl, sorry I don't know her name said your suppose to use a cheapie because the conditioner is watery and won't be so hard to comb. Does anyone else experience a lot of breakage doing this? If so use the cheapie for it and deep condition with the thicker conditioner. So basically i'm asking a question and also info is being giving out. Glad I found this out, makes sense to me.

Comb? Did you feel like your hair was hard to comb while the conditioner was in it? if so.... why keep combing? is that why you lost hair?

Do you mean some people prepoo on dry hair? I have not heard of cowashing on dry hair.

There are some that like to apply a cheapie conditioner and then use it to detangle their hair before shampooing, cowashing, etc. They usually are using a conditioner which they say has slip. Some add oils to give it more slip.

I usually don't do this but if I do, I will baggy for a while and sit under a heat cap to soften my hair. My hair doesn't really soften very much with just conditioner applied. It does depend on your hair.

If you want to detangle you have some options
1. cheapie conditioner with slip
2. cheapie conditioner + oil
3. oil
4. aloe vera gel/juice + oil

Prepooing and detangling doesn't work for everyone. But you can try some out to see if it works for you. You may want to try detangling with your fingers first. But if the method works for you, it shouldn't be hard to comb and you shouldn't lose a lot of hair.

I did that like weeks ago, could of been three months ago and I never did it again. I thought that I had to work it through that was my first time. Sometimes things get better the second time around but I didn't give it a second chance. I just switched to wen and combing is a breeze now

I've never heard of co-washing dry hair. I think what you're talking about resembles more of a "pre-shampoo treatment".

Sometime I cowash on dry hair. I add my cheapie poo to my dry hair then jump in the shower and rinse it out, sometimes I add more condish and rub my scalp + hair then sloppy rinse again. But I never loose hair
