Anyone else here did not have success with curlformers?

I went out and bought 60 dollars worth of curlformers and although the curls were somewhat cute I felt as though I could get the same effect with flexi rods and cause less shedding and breakage.

Anyone else feel the same way?:perplexed

I haven't tried it yet...but something about hooking you hair and pulling it disturbed
me:ohwell:...So I decided to stick to my flexi-rod...Takes a few minutes for me to set...

I see where you're coming from I went out and got them yesterday. I don't have a problem with pulling my hair through the tube because it's not a tight fit and my hair can be pulled through easily. BUT I'm afraid to do it with wet hair though. I tried it last night (I did 4 just to try them out) on my dry hair, I didn't even get under the dryer. I just put them in and went to sleep. They are SO easy to use and the curls are very pretty. I don't think I'll replace my magnetic rollers with these though because I get totally different looks with each.:yep:

My hair was just O.k. Daughter's hair was gorgeous, but neither one of us knows how to maintain the style from one day to the next.

I use the long and wide and didn't have a problem pulling through....no hair lost. I did open the top the curlformer to insure that hair would not snag.

I think it's a cute look for a special occasion/date/event. I would have to comb through the next day because the spiral don't stay "spiraly."

Yeah, that's what I was thinking..."are the curlformers were really that different from the flexirods".

I don't have a problem purchasing if they give a different look. I don't mind that the style only lasts for a day because I only leave my hair out on Sundays for church - then it's back to the protective style.

However, and I cant remember her name, QueenT?? just gave a review of her curlformers.

Her curls were sooo pretty, but she incorporated flexi's at the top and honestly, I couldn't tell a big difference between the two :perplexed curls on the final results.

What do you all think? If there that big of the difference between the two curlers??
