Anyone cowash before a rollerset, perm rod, flexi rod for more volume?

I sometimes cowash before a rollerset, but not really for volume, more for moisture... I also used WEN exclusively for many months and did rollersets after cleansing with the cleansing conditioners. I actually think it weighs my hair down a little more, though.
