Anyone allergic to Sulfa but taking MSM?

Hello Loves,

I was wondering if anyone on here is taking MSM but allergic to Sulfa drugs and not having complications or are having complications or was taking it but caused you to have complications?

I have taken MSM before with no allergic reaction, although I have had allergic reactions to other sulfur products in the past. Most people who have "sulfur allergies" are allergic to the synthetic form (such as that found in some topical hair products like Sulfur 8), while the form in most MSM compounds is basically pure. BUT, that being said, I would be careful taking something you think you're allergic to. HTH!

I was taking MSM some time back and I don't recall seeing any side effects from it that would make me allergic but I did notice when I put a product w/ sulphur in it on my scalp it would bother me a lot...so I'm guessing it was the sulphur..even though a lot of stuff bothers me when put on scalp so I try not to put anything on it anymore it was a different feeling w/ the product that had sulphur in it. HTH

I am allergic to sulfur but can take msm with no problems.
