How was it? And did you co wash as well with it and how did it go? I just recently purchase herbal essence totally twisted and was thinking of using it as a leave in. I got it because it was three dollars and I said I'm always looking and getting expensive stuff and it ends up being alright... so let me get something that's cheap and could possibly work and if It sucks I'm taking back. Anyone use it and absolutely adore it and how do you use it? Thanks in advance!

If your hair likes cones, why not. I know there are a lot of ladies who cowash with Herbal Essenses Hello Hydration (which also smells HEAVENLY). I use my cowash Dove Intensive Therapy as a leave in, but im not sure my hair likes cones so ill be stopping soon.

I'm not sure either but how would you know if it doesn't? If it feel too coated?

Trail and error. Your hair will let you know what it likes.

I use it as a co wash everyday. I put it on right when I start my shower and about 10 minutes or so later I rinse half of it out with cool water.

If its too coated, if it dries it out, causes splits, etc. For me, cones gives me a moisturized feel for a couple hours, then it feels coated and rubbery, and then it dries out like the Sahara. I also have to clarify more since I use a cone-heavy product, which id like to stop.

I only use the HE LTR and when I cw with it I usually leave a little in I never have any problems I also you the leave in from the same line

if you like coated, flaky, ashy looking hair try this.

it gave me great curl definition though!

I use HE LTR, some S-curl and vatika oil for sealing and my hair does fine. I can use it as a leave in or a pre deepoo or co-wash and my hair does great.

Wow, that's sound unattractive but then a happy ending at the end lol

I'm natural and I used it all the time to set my twist/braid out. I always got awesome results and great definition from using Herbal Essence. But like another poster said it does have cones so after a while a had build up. Thats fine if you dont mind using sulfates to clarify your hair. I recently switched to using only naturals products so my routine changed.

I stopped using it and now I use Giovanni Direct Leave In

HE products are inexpensive and smell great. I found them to be a bit heavy on my hair and had build up so I have moved on.

TJ Nourish Spa is around the same price and my hair likes it 100x more.

Good luck!!

I used to use Herbal Essences Totally Twisted and hello hydration back when I had a no oil routine. I would actually use it to do my twist outs and it held very well. I liked the stuff and it smelled pretty good. Give it a shot. Even if you don't like the stuff, who cares? It's only 3 bucks.

I bought HE HH about a month ago. I usually use Aussie Moist for cowashing and I leave some in with no problems. Anyway, I tried the HE HH and it was nice. The slip was out of this world! So I'm using it for cowashing and leaving some in. My hair was in plaits so I decided to take them out after about a week. I'm washing my hair and it came out in CLUMPS! I know about shed hair and I am relaxed so of course hair will come out. But not in no daggone clumps! WTF! The only thing new was the HE HH. I'd done all this with my Aussie and I'd never had clumps of hair come out like that. The funny thing is that when I looked it up online, this had happened to other people with HE HH. So needless to say, I will never ever try anything Herbal Essence ever again. I sent and email to the company and they sent me a card for $4.

Dang, I left some in too, scared...

I used to love herbal essence the hello hydration mask the one in a tub, dont know if you guys have it in the US. Anyway made my hair dry like straw i had to abandon, i think it was the cheap cones too.

I used the HE purple bottle...curl something...hydrolicious I think. I left it in my hair and my curls were great. But when I tried to put some gel in it then it flaked up something terrible. I found using the HE was ok by it self but not to add other products with it. I only did this recently so I don't know how the build up will work out like some other posters have mentioned.

I tried it bc the glamtwinz on youtube used it in one of their videos as a leave in. Regular conditioner. I guess my hair likes cones?
