I'm all late discovering this. So far I love it for the length of my hair and it can really mold my texlax hair down. Great for my edges too!

I want to try and rollerset with it tonight. I usually use NTM, but want something that'll last longer than a day for me.
 
No I've never roller set my hair with cantu conditioner I might have to try it one day!!! But I mainly use it to braid or twist up or slick my ponytail back it works really well I love it :)
 
i have... my hair was a bit dry afterwards...
i'm natural btw.
i really like to rollerset with redken smoothdown butter treat.
i give that conditioner props in every thread LOLOLOL

heres some butter treat results...

I just use the regular magnetic yellows. the my hair won't fit in any other size... then i section into 3 sections (2 sides, one in the middle) and sit under my dominican hair dryer for 45 mins. Its hot as all hell but its so worth it :grin:

Have you rollerset w/ NTM before? Was the Cantu heavier than that?

And how do you think it would've been if you had flatironed it w/ the Redken smoothing butter? Too heavy or not?
 
I've used the redken bttr trmnt to flat iron (natural hair) and it is almost weightless. Thanks SummerSolstice now i'm going to get some for rollersetting. I used cantu for my natural hair (not for rollersetting-but a long time ago and its too gummy/coating idk) and I just found other things that work better.

SummerSolstice NTM is Neutragena triple moisture silk touch leave-in.

I love it actually. It's great in that I can comb my wet hair with it w/ no breakage and my rollersets come out light and airy, but still a good set. And that's w/ overnight. I do have texlaxed hair though....I don't think I liked it so much w/ natural hair, but then again I had just taken down a weave and I also have 4b hair. The only thing is that it doesn't really last more than 2 days tops. After the first day my hair starts feeling dry and the set won't last as much.

I feel you I'm mostly 4a and my sets don't last if I'm coming out of a weave or twists or anything where my hair has been happily braided for awhile. Its like... excuse me? U want me to what??? :lol:
 
First two were herb.essence ltr & redken bttr treatment but since they discontinued the ltr and the redken is so expensive I let it fall by the wayside. But will now revisit. Since herb. ess. did away with ltr I revisited eqp mango butter and I am in love with it all over again. Yet redken bttr. treatmt had never let me down besides the pricing.

BlaqBella its $15 or less on amazon but the tube usually lasts me for a month or 2 just because my hair is in such good shape when I do use it... so i don't have to use so much...
I leave it in for WnGs and the conditioner usually last through 3x of rewetting (is that a word :lol:)

anywho i haven't really found a condish that can touch this stuff.
