I take a multivitamin, omega 3 and odourless garlic due to my general poor diet.
But nothing specifically hair related, and don't use any growth aids.

Not sure if I count really. I still take 3 pills a day.

For the last six month I have not taken vits, supplements or use any growth aids. But I ordered some BT and I'll be using that when it comes in.

I take a multi MAYBE twice a week....if I remember. Nothing specifically for hair.

yes I do feel it made a diference in my growth. When I took vits I would get 3/4" per month compared to 1/2". Now I get about a 3/4"-1" per month BUT I changed my diet in Sept. after my 5" cut. My skin suffered from all the vits, now with no vits my skins looks good. But I do need to take a vit c daily, I just haven't started that yet.

I don't take vitamins (not even a multi vitamin anymore, just because I'm lazy and kept forgetting) or use any growth aids or supplements.

I'm skeptical as to whether they'll actually cause my hair to grow any faster.:look: I appear to get about half an inch a month, and that's okay with me. As long as I retain the growth I do get I'll eventually reach my goal.:D

I eat a mostly vegetarian diet, sometimes I'll have a small piece of chicken or seafood and almost all of the vegetables and fruits I buy are organic. I think that has contributed to my overall health and hair growth more than anything.

I just take a regular one a day women's multivitamin. I figure I'll let my hair grow it's slow 1/2 inch a month and just be patient.:)

I JUST started taking a multivitamin 2 weeks ago, to balance whatever I'm not getting in my diet but I'm like you with taking anything, I haven't been consistent the whole time but I've taken them at least 3 or 4 days out of the week when I remember. I ordered NAC online so I'm waiting for that, I'm gonna put a daily alert on my cell to remind me to take them both. I'm also ordering BT. I've gotten where I am, the longest it's ever been past shoulder without taking any growth aids, so I'm gonna try all this out for the next 6 months to see if using them is noticeably beneficial to growth speed or just a trick of the mind, so to speak. I'm curious and it can't hurt, if I meet mid-back by Dec 07, I just might have to give a few testimonies

I have tried biotin, just one bottle, but I didn't take it regular enough, when I finished the bottle I didn't buy any more. I just take mutivitamin and omega 3 and vitamin C. My hair will grow if it's healthy, I never mearsure to lazy, I'm more concerned with keeping it healthy, I might try Boundless Tresses one day.

Thanks for responding you guys...bumpin for more...
I personally dontthink that you can gain all that much difference in growth when u take vitamins if your diet is inadequate in the first place....i think there needs to be a holistic approach and your hair is a result of the inner peace and balance.

I don't use any growth aids nor do I plan on starting any soon. I tried out MN and some other concoction maybe back in December (I can't remember when exactly, it was a while ago). I still want to try boundless tresses, but I know if I buy it I won't feel like taking my hair down and parting through it all the time to get to the scalp. It seems like the other stuff is too drying on the hair.

I don't take any vitamins anymore. With the whole Vitamin Shoppe lead contamination scare, I am just like :ohwell: . I occasionally eat nutrition bars or Total cereal. I don't worry about it much, I eat a balanced diet including nuts, fish, vegetables, and whole grains.

You don't have to feel bad, if you are healthy and active your hair will grow at it's normal rate anyway. If you don't know what that is, how do you know you want to speed it up?

CAPlush, I had not heard about that what's the story:confused:

I don't take anything hair related. I take a multivitamin, MSM, and beta carotene all for general health.

However, when our insides are healthy, we generally have healthy outsides as well (i.e. skin, hair, weight).

Thanks ladies for your words, I did get the BT but I won't be using it since I have a sensitive scalp. and my hair was itchin no end,...I know I would have stopped anyway...my five and 3/4 bottles of surge are testimony to that...i bought 6 lol!

Thanks again ladies

Me too! The only thing I do is drink v8 low sodium, because I really dont eat enough vegetables

I don't take any growth potions or pills. I tried it and NONE of that stuff sped up anything. I had stronger nails but I find just leaving the hair alone is the best way to let it grow strong.

i take a lot of supplements, as you can see by my siggy...i've been taking msm for over 3 months now, and it loosened my curl pattern in random sections of my hair...i only know this because it's the only supplement i took BY ITSELF long enough to see what the exact results were...i've noticed improvements in my skin and nails, but my skin was pretty damn nice before the supplements, so that almost doesn't count for much :ohwell: i have noticed increased thickness in my hair, even before i used henna 2 weeks ago, and i think i can attribute that to the biotin...but i had some of the crappiest skin in my life when i went up from 2000 mcg of biotin to 3000 mcg of biotin, so after 2 weeks of that mess, i went right on back to the 2000 mcg...i've used mtg and just started mn, and mtg works, but i haven't been using MN long enough to have something to compare the mtg to, so the jury's out on that too! i also wanna add that i work out 4x a week, drink protein shakes, eat 3-4 servings of fruits/veggies per day, and drink prolly 4 liters of water a day...so all in all, i have not a CLUE in the world what to attribute the improvement in my hair's health to! i guess i'm content doing all this stuff now, hoping that it'll at least have the placebo effect on my hair...but when i get to APL, i'm gonna rethink the whole supplement thing...i'm gonna finish up my current stock (which could prolly get me through the summer), and only repurchase what i think is worth is....sorry this was so long, but it actually helped ME figure some things out! :look:

ETA: i forgot to mention my point...if you're thinking about adding a supplement, i say start with a multivitamin and maybe one other supplement and use it for 3 months to see if you like it, and if it's actually working for your hair...i think 3 months is pretty sufficient for the average person to see if something works or not...then if you wanna do more, you actually know what the newer supplements are doing since you know what your original supplements did to your hair...i wish i knew that in the beginning, goes to show what greed for growth can do to you!
