I have tried the healthy hair butter and hair milk. I like the consistency of the products and the way it coats my hair, but the smell wears on me after a while, and I have noticed that my hair dries out quickly a day or so after using the products, so they don't leave my hair moist. I don't know if I will purchase the products again. One container seems to last a while, but they don't seem to be anything special in relation to the price, and my hair isn't crazy about the ingredients. Anybody else feel this way?

*raising hand* ME! Her products arent that great for the price. They arent bad, but its too pricy for the results I got from using them.

I've had some success with the Some of Marguerite's Magic, but the smell of some of her other products overwhelmed me, especially the Healthy Hair Butter. I had to give away my last jar of HHB because the smell made me wheeze.

My girlfirend bought the Tui line and I tried it. I wasn't impressed.:ohwell:

The products aren't outrageously priced but I find Nexxus or Aveda or even Rusk much better.

I tried the HHB and I really did not like it. It dried out my hair and the smell is annoying. I wanted something to "tame" my ponytails, and it just did not impress me at all. I used it twice and it has joined the product graveyard. I think it's a waste of money.

I used to like the products (especially the hair butter) before she changed the formula. Now it is not doing a thing for my hair. I won't be buying hair products there any more.

*raises my hand* These products are way to heavy for my relaxed hair. I brought her products before her sephora days but i only used them when i bunned up and they were a ***** to rinse out. :ohwell: I think i overdid one of her oils and needed dishwashing detergent to get it out and you know that is a :nono:

Yeah girl, on top of that i almost broke my neck in my shower because it made the tub slippery :nono: :nono:

ETA:I think the product that did this was the hair balm?? I dont see it offered anymore...go fig. (maybe im just blind or too lazy to look for it).

I don't like any of her hair products. I've tried the Hair Butter, Hair Milk and some type of hair grease (it's orange). Her hair products are too greasy for me.

I agree with you on these two. I had success with the "Some of Marguerite's Magic" But couldnt stand the smell of the HHB. I have noticed that a lot of people really enjoy the HHB. I just couldn't get over the smell. (but other than that, I like her other products I have tried.)

I used Carol's daughter products when she first started selling out of her brownstone. I currently don't use any of her stuff. It was a Fad for me, none of the products had staying power.

MY aunt and nieces use the healthy hair butter, tho. I'm going to get them some Qhemets stuff.

I've gone to her website several times to order and just could get myself to press the confirm button, now I seriously doubt I'll try it. Love Qhemets though! I'm sticking with it.

I tried these products too--pre-Sephora. Orange "grease" is Mimosa Hair Honey. These products did nothing for me. They were too heavy for my hair and just sat on my hair. Not worth the price.

This was my issue too...I feel the products are over rated a bit...I was thinking naturals might have more success using her products.

I'll second that. I bought a couple as a pampering thing because I have local salons that carry it, but it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. I have some grease stuff that does not have petroleum jelly or mineral oil it in from CamdenGrey, and my hair likes it just as much and it was a great deal cheaper.

What I dont understand is why she keeps going up on the price every year. I know sometimes the price of supply may go up every now and again but every year???

I tried the HHB, Tui Leavi-in, and neither of these did anything for my hair. The hair butter was way too heavy. I also tried a hair smoothie (nothing special), one of her oils (over priced for the amount, regular olive oil worked just as well), and the hair balm. The hair balm has been the only thing that I really liked, and would consider purchasing again.

I was not impressed. And the price! The quality was not worth that amount of money.

I'm so glad this thread was started. Mary J. Blige and the founder of Carol's daughter, Lisa Price, will be at a Sephora next week and I planned on going to see them. In order to get an autographed pic of Mary, a $25.00 purchase of a Carol daughter products is required. So this gave the PJ in me an excuse to experiment with the products. But not any more. I'm going to save myself from disappointment thanks to you all.

I didn't like the hair milk. I initally liked the hair butter but then I got build up :(
I do like her hair smoothie as a pre-poo treatment only.

never bought the hair products because i found the body products too heavy. i'm sorry. good luck to her but i thought she was selling jazzed up vaseline.

I bought the healthy hair butter and hair milk - both did nothing for my hair. Neither one of them was moisturizing and I felt like the HHB had a lot wax in it. Qhemet biologics products are a lot better at moisturizing the hair IMO than the CD products I've used.
