Anybody here still doing ACV rinses...?

I'm not using ACV, but I'm still doing acid rinses - I use citric acid, instead.

For my hair, it leaves it very smooth and that helps prevent tangling/knotting for me - less for the strands of hair to catch on.

I use it mixed in with my coffee as the final rinse on my hair everytime I wash my hair (usually weekly, sometimes I'll let a week slide).

Okay so i bought the applecider vinegar from the super market and have yet to use it.

how do i use this do i warm it up or what

Oh yes :yep:! My hair LOVES the acv rinse. I was being lazy mixing it and was using PC mixed in with my DC for a while, and there's such a huge difference in my hair when I went backto the acv. I mix acv, distilled water, aloe vera juice, honeyquat, and wheat germ oil together and use it liberally as a final rinse. My hair is stupidly soft after. That, steaming, and ayurveda have been three of the best things I've done for my hair since I've been here !

I use ACV once a week as a final rinse after a steam DC (75ml of ACV to 1 Litre of spring water; this mixture can be used for multiple washes). After incorporating this as my final step, honestly, my hair was soo soft, smooth, shiner, locked-in more moisture and was virtually tangle free :cloud9:. I highly recommend it!

If I clarify, use a harsh shampoo or baking soda, I ALWAYS follow up with an ACV rinse. Let it sit for 1-2 mins and then rinse with cold water. The acidity brings my hair back to its normal pH.

I still use an ACV rinse as my final rinse. I use it to smoothe & close my cuticles. I keep a bottle of ACV & water next to the tub.

I use it at the end of every wash. It hasn't hurt my hair to do so and so I have not intention of ever stopping

How has it benefited my hair? Well, the first time I realized how soft my hair was and how cute each strand was, was after I'd washed my hair, conditioned and did an ACV rinse. I hadn't applied anything to it and not only did it seem to have a natural sheen I've never seen before it was so soft to touch that I was totally sold on not applying anything to my hair again. It felt so good to the touch that I didn't want to spoil that with any product. I then made it a part of my regimen and I can't say I have any issues.

I know that my hair doesn't tangle coz I keep it stretched but perhaps ACV has a little to do with that. The way the strands just fall apart say if my hair unravels from a twist during a wash leads me to think that every strand is smooth enough not to hook onto the one beside it, and I'd imagine ACV sees to that.

I used to religiously do them weekly, ever since I changed my regime to cowashing regularly I forgot all about an acv rinse until washing today... and now this thread... I'd like to do them once a week or once every fortnight
