Wow, thanks for replying. The comb that I use does have seems. That could be the problem. If your comb has seams down the teeth which many do, it may be shredding your hair with every pass through. Those seams can rough up, scratch, and tear your cuticle every time you comb. Try filing down the seams on the teeth if you aren't using a seamless comb. If you manually file the seams, place coating of clear polish over the filing to create a smoother surface. Or invest in a bone comb- they are made seamless.![]()

Thanks! It does make sense. I used to have them a few years back, but haven't seen any lately.
