I used to go to an aveda salon for year and they used both of thsoe on my hair depending on what I needed at the time. I absolutely love avead products and the shampure really left me feeling "clean" the color conserve did its job because my color NEVER faded lol However I have since switched to all dominican products

Thanks for the info noegirl05 and welcome to the board

Thanks!!!

When I used the color conserve I could stretch months without my rinse... my end would never get dull and light

I have the shampure shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is GREAT...very cleansing w/o stripping BUT the Brilliant shampoo is more moisturizing and cleansing so that's the only reason I don't use the shampure anymore. I hated the shampure conditioner...not moisturizing enough and no slip.

Hey Sis! I use the shampure poo every so often. It smells soooo good & cleans w/o stripping...not very moisturizing though.

Ditto! I use the shampoo to clarify, have never used the color conserve.

I currently use the Shampure conditioner as a conditioning wash (I know its a pricey co-wash but I'm on an all Aveda challenge), then follow it up with Brilliant conditioner which seems to work.

I haven't tried the color conserve (I don't color my hair), but I recently bought some for my mom. So far she really likes it. Now I wonder if I should try it.

Thanks for all of the replies. I think I am going to pick up the shampure shampoo and conditioner and the color conserve conditioner

I have the Shampure poo and con. I like them both but don't find myself using them as much as other Aveda Lines (I use Smooth Infusion, DR and Sap Moss the most). The Shampure is very gentle on the hair....just a really good basic shampoo and con IMO.

I've never used the Color Conserve line.

Thanks....How do you like the alter ego coconut mask, is it moisturizing.

You are welcome Gymfreak---and yes, I love the Alter Ego. It's one of the best moisturizing conditioners I have ever used. It's also great when you are going through a stretch..it really tames the ng. Well worth the money IMO.

Cool. I have been looking at it. I really need one more staple moisturizing conditioner. I think I will pick this up for myself for christmas.
