Just curious if any of you relaxed ladies have used this. And what your experience is with it. I just got mine in the mail. I know a lot of naturals use it as a leave-in, can you do the same w/ relaxed hair? Do you just use it as a protein treatment?

A member on the board was nice enough to send me a sample of hers and so far, it been working great. I'm relaxed and I use it as a leave-in. They say on the flyer it comes with that you're supposed to use it with heat but most of the time I just massage it in. I've heard that it's great for rollersets and pre-blow drying.

Do you use it everytime you wash or as a moisturizer? I know the flyer says you can use it everyday, but I'd be afraid that it's protein overload. Does it work on your new growth as well?

I only use it after I wash. I use ORS olive oil cream as a daily moisturizer. I don't think it's done anything special for my new growth but it makes my ends feel very moisturized.

I'm relaxed.

The stylist used BBD stretch before rollersetting me just ONE TIME last Thursday. My cuticles are smoother. The hairs aren't grabbing each other and catching and matting and clumping. I've retained more strand separation than without it. Combing my dry, rollerset hair everymorning results in much less breakage now.

I'm glad glad GLAD I ordered a jar of BBD stretch!

I have used the BBD stretch Creme as a conditioner and moisturizer.
I put on my hair every other day when using as moisturizer because it causes buildup for me used daily.(only need a small amount)
I find it works better when used with heat so I blowdry it in using a low heat setting and follow up with the BBD keala oil which makes the hair feel more silkier when used with the stretch creme.
This is a staple product because it helps me stretch my relaxer longer.

Did the name of BBD Stretch change to this - Stretch Boomerang Hair Growth Creme?

No, that company bbdhair.com is selling another brand supposedly comparable to BBD Stretch. They are no longer distributing BBD products.

I started off using BBD Stretch while I was relaxed. It worked great then as well!

I wonder how it compares to the original. I remember when this guy had boat loads of the original stuff. Oh well.

Labett,

How does it help you stretch your relaxer? I originally bought it for this purpose but have only ended up using it on my daughter's natural hair.

I use mine to stretch and moisturize. I put it on my dry new growth and rub away from the scalp. This stretches it a little but makes it really soft. It works way better if you blow-drying the new growth a little while stretching it. I love it as a moisturizer because it doesn't have alot of oils. I tested it on my dry hands and my skin seemed to absorb it without leaving shine like Mango butter. I sometimes use it as a baggie as well and seal with Amla oil. Love the combo! I also don't get a lot buildup from just using BBD and amla oil everyday for 4 days. I haven’t gone longer because I want to co wash. Also I don’t use the quarter size or whatever they recommend. I use like 5 quarter sizes. :)

I use it as a deep conditioner, as a moisturizing conditioner after a protein treatment and 1 or 2 times a week. My hair is very dry and I can tell the difference after applying BBD Stretch creme.

I use it as a leave in, Cuz I think that's what it says it is, and it did nothing for my hair. The smell is annoying but not stinky.
