any naturals tried Ellin Lavar products?

 I'm not natural, but I've seen the Ellin Lavar line at CVS and...

I have not been tempted.

I'm sorry, but the woman's weaves just are not that cute, so I'm just not feeling her take on "healthy hair care". She seems more interested in covering up people's hair than in taking good care of it. She's been doing Mary J's weaves for years, and I hear poor Mary is darn near bald!

I tried the conditoner mask in the jar. Nothing special. I was looking at the ingredients in most of the products and they didn't really grab me. So I'm gonna just continue with what I know.

I'd heard of her in Essence mag before, she's often quoted in their beauty/hair care section. She's a professional hair stylist who specializes in weaves. She's kind of a celebrity "weave-ologist".:) I'm not against weaves at all, but the ones I've seen her do are not that convincing. I think she also has/had a TV show (talked about in another thread) where people mentioned that she preferred to have her clients get weaves instead of telling them how to take good care of their hair.

yeah see... i love weaves/extensions/wigs/phony ponies, they are great for changing up your style while protecting your own hair. but too many people *** em up... and any stylist who is about slapping a weave on a black woman's head and not giving them any information about taking care of their own hair underneath is GARBAGE in my book - that is my pet peeve with a lot of makeover shows...

The only thing I want to try is the satinsoft conditioning rinse. The other product reviews have been so so.

I tried the Nourish Oil and was not impressed. Indian oils and EVOO do a much better job IMO

I bought a bunch of her products during a sale at CVS. I've used the Satinsoft Conditioning Rinse to no avail, it made my hair too soft to be true in the shower upon the first application. Turns out, it was, my hair was just as dry as ever upon styling. Tossed the rest.
