I'm trying to come up with a way to rollerset my hair with the least amount of heat possible AND while not having to sit under a dryer forever. I have really thick hair and it would take a long time for my hair to dry. Trying to pursue a viable option. Your thoughts?

I hope some1 has an answer cuz I just ordered a caruso and I love to airdry to keep my hair healthy....Unfortunately....I am in a bagillion PS challenges so i cant use mine till the end of freaking ever!

hopefully some1 will create or reveal a technique that will work for this :) shooot this is the kinda info im willing to pay fo'....almost hee heee

bump i would like to know....

i was just trying to see if any naturals rollerset their hair...

im trying to look for things that will last at home and that are easy for me to do...

I have some steam rollers

I thought about doing this weekend with the exception of instead of rollers to use curlformers. yes curlformers are expensive but they get the roots straighter and you can sleep comfortably in them. Also your hair air-dries faster in them than magnetic rollers. Steam rollers can not make roots straight if that is a concern.

I've had my hair rollerset at a salon. My issue was mainly with how they detangled my hair with the small tooth comb (always have beef with this tool). The roots were somewhat puffy - to be expected.
My preference today would be to blow dry using the tension method and then rollerset with the caruso rollers (never done it) :)

Thanks Tatiana for this info. I'm wondering why the roots wouldn't be straight in steam rollers? Now curlformers are rather expensive. I'm afraid by the time I purchased enough for my head I could've made two trips to the salon. How many are typically used?

I'll have to look up the tension method, not sure what this is. But are you going to try this? I would love to know how it works out for you, especially considering you have ALOT of hair. Beautiful hair Lady!
