Any natural 3b/3cs?

what are your regimens?

and what do you do wish your hair at night? :D

i'll start!

daily co-washes with conditioner and EVOO, leave-in 2x daily, overnight pre-poos with amla and coconut oil.

protective style of choice: bunning

nighttime style: bun wrapped in scarf

I don't have a set "regimen" per say, but I wash my hair and deep condition every two to three days.

I co-washed every other day for awhile during the summer just to keep my head cool, but I don't bother once the weather gets cold.

I'm a huge fan or avocado butter (well, almost any natural butter) and Nexxus and Alterna products.

I don't use heat, except for maybe flat ironing twice a year to see the length.

I don't do anything special with my hair at night. If I'm not to tired, I'll spritz it with Evian and then use approximately a teaspoon full of hemp seed oil to seal it. I usually sleep in a loose bun or two braids. I have satin pillowcases on my bed, but I don't cover my head with anything.

I wear buns and french twists most of the time.

You have really pretty hair, pinayprincess.:)

I cowash every day or every other day. Shampoo and condition on sunday after a hot oil treatment. Deep condition 1x week. Moisturize daily and always bunnin it.

I have mostly 3c hair and 4a nape, but I also have spiral curls on the sides. I am truly confused.

I'm 3b/c
I wash and condition once or twice a week and follow with leave in conditioner and olive oil.

Protective style...well now in the winter I bun it, but otherwise mostly ponytails - the 3b/c standard

Nighttime: just a huge very loose bun that I fasten with a hair comb. It needs to be loose and soft enough to sleep on and don't make any creases in my hair. I used to wear 1 or 2 braids but I hated having to lift them when I changed positions or they would hit me in the face or just rub my cheeks

I moisturize in the morning with leave in conditioner and sometimes I squeeze a little water in it with my hands.

I'm always moving towards a simpler regimen.

I think I'm a 3b from looking at the pics of what a 3b looks like.

I'm not sure, though.

But in the summer, I will wet my hair and add conditioner and let it dry. Sometimes I'll use oil shine or shine, depending on how I feel.

In the winter, I'll either ponytail it or flat iron. I want to get into the ponytails for the 2007 challenge, though. I just tried a full head of weave, and I don't believe that's for me.

I am looking for a new regimen, so I hope I can glean from you ladies in this thread.

BTW - i'm a 3b/c natural too!.

Natural 3b, here.

I was cowashing daily for a long while, but lately I've been trying to cowash every 3rd day just because as it gets longer it is taking longer and longer to do. But I think my hair does best with daily cowashing and detangling.

I use natural butters, my fave right now is hemp butter. But I also love avocado butter if I want something a bit heavier. The only oil that really works for me is coconut oil if I use it just before a regular shampoo.

At night, I put my hair up in a pineapple or a loose ponytail and I sleep on satin pillowcases.

I wear my hair in a protective style every day, usually a bun. I no longer use combs or brushes. And no heat. :)

WOW! I was really confused about my hairtype until I saw you guys pics -- it is so great to see others with hair similar to mine--your hair is what my hair wants to be when it grows up!

I have decided to really GET seriouos about my goal of retaining 6 inches of length this year, so I have been re-evaluating my regiment, spending all yesterday searching these boards. I used to do a Carolyn Gray-type regiment, but now since I added bi-weekly henna treatments, I decided to do something different.

I now color my hair w/Henna bi-weekly (great for coloring grays and for strenghthening), followed by either Tropical Avocado or a carrot oil hot oil treatment. I wash with CON on "henna" weeks.

On alternate weeks I wash and condition with Elucense, and deep condition with either ORS Mayo OR Elucense & Fantasia IC Deep Penetrating Moisturizer, OR ION Effective Care Treatment Protein ReBuilder & Moisturizer. I always air dry.

I bun or wear phony ponies 95% of the time. I Plan to try the "baggie method" soon with this. I moisturize daily with Mane and Tail conditioner and detangler, and put home-made shea/mango butter w/essential oils on my ends. Will make a change here: just ordered hair-a-do and structurize from bodyologycare.com & will strengthen and moisturize with these products instead, along with the homemade shea/mango butter.

Very SELDOM do I blowdry, flat iron or use heat, because quite frankly I don't have the time for it (max 1 every 2 months). I am learning to use the comb and soft-bristle brush RARELY and use my fingers more.

My goal is to apply MTG Alternative every other night to my scalp & the next a.m. I clean my scalp with a conditioning wash.

My vitamins: Pathenol, B-complex, UltraNourishair, Biotin, Vit E, Bonecare, MSM, flaxseed oil, eve. primrose, CLA, and a multi. One of my New Year's resolutions is to become CONSISTENT with the vites and the MTG, and to set up a fokti....
