Try Vision Braiding in Central Square. They were great, didn't braid my hair too tight at all. I had kinky twists done. I also liked the hair that they had there (think it was called Nina). Anyway it was much better than the normal kinky hair you see in the BSS.

ETA: Even though they only do braiding, I did notice a cosmetology license on the wall. I guess braiders in Boston have to go to beauty school??
