I just did a search but the ones I found are only the tutorials. I need one or a few so that I can see how its supposed to look after the knots are taken down. I did one the other day and it ended up looking like Larry from the Three Stooges. Thanks. :perplexed

Bump! Please...somebody? Anybody?? All I need is one good bantu knot fotki/hair album to use as a reference. Ma hurr really does look like Larry from the Three Stooges right now! :cry3: I just have it all pulled back with bobby pins so that it won't look as bushy, but once I take the pins out its just really full and curly...

I have some in my album

Hey turnergirl  thanks for sharing. Your sets look very nice also. I'm gonna give it another shot today, hopefully it turns out as nice.

Thank you!! I actually wanted to do them small but I got lazy and they got bigger and bigger lol I probably had around 40..more/less
"I washed with john freida, conditioned with pantene moisture hair mask, aussie mouse leave in, sprayed with setting lotion, and used fantasia ic gel"

bump... I wanna know too. and can they be done on natrual hair only or relaxed as well?

yeaup they can be done on both relaxed and natural hair. When I do it on my straightened hair it comes out more wavy/smooth. ON natural it's more full. I start twisting at the root and keep twisting the hair until it wraps around itself like a mini bun.

the knots are pretty much a style itself, when you take them out it's like a bantu knot out lol..i think ?

How do you secure them? or do they just stay in place? I love your hair, btw.

most of them I just wrap the ends underneath the knot and they stay but the larger ones/ones that won't stay, I used a bobby pin

Thanks for sharing your tips! I actually didn't get to it yesterday, I ended up doing some shopping and didn't get back til late. But I have an open schedul today (so far), and since its early now  I'm gonna start washing and then DC my hair with one of my CD Hair Smoothies for a few hours. One thing you forgot to answer is - was your hair soaking wet when you did the set? %50 dry - %80 dry or all the way dry as you did the set? I think that makes a HUGE difference on the way you got your results also. I also think that the way that my hair is cut has a lot to do with it as well...it's very blunt. Do you have any layers at all? :look:
