I am almost 12mnth post last relaxer. I should be celebrating but instead i can barely keep my head up (literally) b/c i feel so down. I have been wearing buns for like the last 5 mnths and i was totally cool with it. However, after seeing Michelle obama (lol) and other fly hair i felt frustrated. I am in school so i can't afford to spend too much on my hair and I am terrible at doin my own hair. I really want to do the big chop but :
1. i want it to be done right w/o having someone go scissor happy...only got about 4 inches of new growth b4 shrinkiage.
2. IDK where i can go to get a cut that will be shaped properly for curly hair. I'm not talkin about goin somewhere that i can get the perm cut out...anyone can do that. i want someone who knows how to cut it for shaping and to last as it grows.
3. I'm afraid of what hairstyles (or lack of hairstyles) i can do with 4 inches of hair on my head.
Right now i am shoulder length and it gives me comfort that i can go to the dominican's and get a wash n set or do a ponytail....if i BC, my bush may have dry and bad days and i don't have many hats or scarves....PLEASE HELP!
