I usually braid my hair in about four or five braids and roll the ends with satin rollers at night, that is the only think that makes it look fuller. I am natural and I keep it presses. In the fall I wear it natural so it looks alot fuller then.

 Girl, Your hair does NOT look thin! I Love it!

lovechic- hiiii my friend (yeaaaa we doing the waistlength challenge together!!)!!! i didnt see this thread, otherwise i would have responded sooner!! girllll my ends are soo thin that my hair stylist told me to my face that "YOU ARENT SUPPOSED TO SEE THROUGH THE ENDS"...hahahaha  i was like "ohhh damn..you didnt have to say it like that.." hahaha...also, ive met with thinning around the areas that are supposed to be thick mostly THE CENTER (where your middle part is supposed to be) which is exceptionally bad on me...

my hair is a few inches above the middle of my back and its so annoying..ive started to apply mtg to the middle part and to the hairline also to really keep the hair growing in those thin areas.. i make the hair look fuller by washing the hair, putting gel or oil in it and then i shake it and scrunch it a bit ( i have curly/wavy hair) put a claw clip in it while i throw the hair up on my head, touseled, and then when i take it down it fills out a bit...and its not so bad..what type of hair do you have?

meia;)

I know how u feel on that, you can see through my ends, but BET that nobody is cutting them till I reach my BSL goal!

Samaria- hahaha girlll im with you! aint nobody come close to my head with no scissors until i get a bit farther to my goal then i might even it up a LITTLE bit...cos you know, as soon as you want a little trim they decide to chop all your hair off..and thats NOT happening! hahaha:grin:

UNLIV GIRL! Hi. Please pm me. I am not sure I am using the right pass word. It wasn't working for me. Did you change it? Thank you. Bonjour

I usually wear a lot of curls to make it look fuller :)
When I flat iron it looks very thin but when I go to the salon, roller set, and blow dry my ends look fuller too because of the technique they use when blow drying.

Good Post! Thank you! I am going through the same thing. My hair is just thin, but there is no way I am cutting it.

Well I like the style of the lady in my siggy. I don't wear it loose. My hair is very fine and use to be medium to thin but is thin now. When I do plan to wear it down I may do it as below or start with a french braid then scunchy half way and have set the last seven inches or so in a satin curler. When ready to go out I separate the curl at the bottom to make multiple fluffy curls that look natural. Sometimes I use a larger curler and leave it in one curl. Using a loose twist can make your hair look fuller and weight it down with a nice non damaging clip or broche. With out weight my braid or pony will just draw up. I draw the front up some how to give lift and may use a few hair pins to keep the puff. Some times I let my natural fringe(bang) frizz and curl to give more deminsion and volume look. The tindrill thing helps to.

Even wearing my buns I let my natural frizz and curl frame the face and pull those short tendrills from the hair line to give the effect of alot of hair going everywhere. I call it the turn of the century fluffy coifed look. Its really a blessing I am natural now and my hair puffs.

Hey Ladies!

I'm on the waist length challenge too! My hair is not particularly thin, but my stylist says that if I don't let her trim all the time my ends look too thin and uneven. My friend Blacktresses who is also a member of this forum gave me a good talking to. She drilled about not letting my stylist talk me into getting a trim (usually 1 1/2 inches everytime I get it relaxed). I'm standing my ground this time!

Currently at mid-back (I think). Last relaxer 08/03. Next touchup-trying for 11/03 if there's minimum breakage.

WAIST LENGTH HERE I COME!!!
