If so why and why not. I like it so far. it's made my hair very moisturized. and I am using the baggie method with it.

I like it, I am now scraping the sides of the jar. I'll be repurchasing soon. I think the key is to focus only on the ends and too use a little bit. I'm not sure if it contains protein or not but that might cause the dryness for some. I seal with plain castor oil overnight and my hair turns out fine.

Yuck!

That stuff just sat on my hair, felt greasy, and did nothing. I threw the container in the garbage.

same here. I used this when I was a natural 4a.

At first my coils would be nice and soft, but after a while I would hate how my hair felt.

I use it for smoothing down my grass. Especially the edges. A little bit goes a long way.
Me too. I find that firm hold does well to hold down rough edges. Just apply, tie up with a scarf, and voila! Smooth edges.

It smelled good enough to eat but didn't really do anything for my hair.

I've had the same exprience. I've mixed it with oils, but the stuff just sits on top of my hair.

I love how thick it is (good for smoothing back my edges), and it smells great, but I find it way too drying. I'm trying to use up the jar I have, so I mixed it up with castor oil and jojoba and that seems to help some. But I don't plan on repurchasing.

I'm a 3C/4A and an Elasta QP Mango Butter user. I use it to baggy my hair and I really like it. On the "products that dry out" thread, many people gave it a thumbs down, but I haven't really had any problems with it.

I just went back for my second jar today..I really like it! I don't use it with the baggy method but I use to moisturize my scalp and hair but my hair is really thirsty so sometimes after washing/co washing I will mix it with my olive oils to coat my scalp and this goes a long way. Just for a normal moisturizing I use it alone. I love the smell;)

ooooh, i do too. my mom took some and put it on her arm. she was like, "oh, this body butter smells really good."

I rush in her room to find her scooping some mango butter out its $7+ jar. I'm like, "Stop! That's for my hair." She's like, "Ooops. my bad."

No problem. Just give me 50 cents for the amount you just used. :D

Yeah it is expensive LOL, that is why I don't use it for the baggying method. I buy mine for about 5.50 at the asian owned stores.

I was talking with my mom today telling her about it and she was asking if you could use it on your body I told her I didn't know but I'm sure its exchangable..I know I used palmer's shea butter on both my hair and body

Exactly what she said!:perplexed

I like it on my relaxed hair, but I pretty much only use it on my ends, mixed with a little olive oil (my stylist recommended olive oil for ends), and some JBCO.

HTH! :)

I hated it. It did absolutely nothing for my hair. I just coated it, and there were some funny little white things in my hair as well after using it. I tried it on wet, damp and dry hair, and it did nothing.
I know I'm in the minority here, but I also hated the smell. It made my cheeks contract.

I use EQP Mango Butter and Profective Healthy Ends to baggy my ends but for some reason I always reach for the Profective Healthy Ends:) but I do like EQP Mango butter and always keep atleast 2 jars of both but my fave is PHE:)

That's exactly why I hated it. I'm type 4

I prefer real mango butter.
