Another castor oil question

I've been using my castor oil at least every other day now that I don't have to be stingy with it any more. My mom had a quart. She kept sending me some in little bottles. My mom is out of the country right now. I went home and my Dad gave all of it to me . He said he always hear me asking for some, take it. I'm like OK . He can deal with my mom when she gets home.

Anyway... back to my question. After a few days of using castor oil, I can feel the thickness, but after I wash my hair, it's goneerplexed. So that's the cycle I'm experiencing right now. Is the thickness temporary? Will this continue to happen or will the thickness stay permanent eventually?
