It is thick, but not thick enough. It is fine textured, and it won't look like 4b or c hair and that is part of the problem. When I wear it in a bun or slick updo, it looks like my hair is not thick. To see the thickness I have to let it out. This means I do not have the same "puff power" as ladies with 4b or c hair. I get the curly whirly puff and I can twist my hair up into a bun or chignon and it looks like relaxed hair not natural. I really want that wild all out there, unbelieveable head of hair that thick strand haired people have and I want it to look that way when it is up. My individual strands are not fat enough for me...hope that explains. Oh well, shame on me for coveting!!! Bonjour
