Which proteins are better for your hair? Less drying or damaging to the hair?

For me, the plant proteins leaves my hair more softer and less dry feeling. I don't necessarily have to use a moisturizing conditioner when I use a plant based conditioner such as got2b so smooth 1 minute emergency treatment. But that is not the case with Elasta QP Breakage Control Serum. That stuff leaves my hair tangled and kind of hard. Hence I mix it with a moisturizing conditioner.
