I love her voice and her hair!
When I was natural, I got this look one of 2 ways:

1. on dry hair by doing a braidout and then "spreading"/blending the sections.

2. wet: slick hair into a ponytail(s) sometimes braiding the length, and letting dry. I would wear a snug scarf & when fully dry ( like 24 hours later for me) I would take them out and blend. I know I always used something that minimized frizz. ( to me this is what it looks like Amiel did , and then she "fluffed it", or else her hair was airdried or dried with a diffuser)

Hope this gives you some ideas. HTH.

Hi, I just started using glycerin & aloe vera juice (+ water if it feels too sticky). I have noticed it helps keep the curl pattern but stays soft & touchable after it dries.

I had to experiment with the portions though... like 3 to 1 liquid to glycerine worked best for me. When I bun I seal with a tiny bit of oil (castor/EVOO).

My braid-outs look alot like that. Actually my siggy pic kinda resembles that texture which was a dry, stretched twist-out. You won't have to do a lot of twists to get it either. I'm lazy and only do 2 to 4 twists or braids.
