Hi everyone.

After lurking for months, I joined this site a month ago . I made a commitment to myself that I was going to start taking better care of my hair. I am finding that now, my decision was easy to make when I had a fresh relaxer. Now that my new growth is starting to come in, it seems like the time required in the morn to get ready is starting to add up. Right now, the extra minutes aren't that big a deal, but I can only imagine what things will be like when my hair really starts to get "packed".

This is my routine: cowash in am with VO5, trader joes or HE HH. Detangle with shower comb. Add more cond as a leav in. Add MT and massage for 5 minutes. Seal ends with castor oil. It adds a good 15 minutes to my routine- then I still have to get it up into a nice looking protective style.

So I guess my questions are- how long does your morning routine take?

Also , how long was your first stretch?

my morning routine never takes long. it's either I take out the braids I did last night (braid out) or I take out the pins of my pincurls.

during the spring I did a stretch of 16 weeks. what helped?

Scurl moisturiser
coconut oil (or any sealant of your choice
saranwrap for my baggy
a fake ponytail
or a half wig (baggy put lower on the head)

at that time, I used to spray some scurl on my head , install the ponytail, put the oil and go. i'd co-wash or rinse when needed.

HTH

Still new to this. Pincurls have helped so far so it only takes a few minutes in the morning. But my night routine is a diff. story!:yep:

I co-wash daily and my routine takes me about an hour and a half.(edit:thought your last post asked how long it takes at night:look:)

I co-wash
Moisturize while wet
Detangle

Part and apply MT
Rollerset, PinCurl, ya know style.

I cowash daily and it takes me maybe an extra 10 minutes in the morning. After I was I add a leave-in, sometimes a little mositure and then I seal my ends with coconut oil. I will either wear my hair in a phony pony and baggie under, wet bun or but my hair in a clip. So far so good. My hair feels so good and I have had not breakage thus far.
