G'Morning Ladies!

Several of you have responded to a few posts I made in the last few days where I was freaking out about how DRY my hair has been. I used my Silicon Mix and followed w/a deep condish w/Motions Moisture Plus. It was moderate...but when my hair dried it was still like straw.

Since then I have desperately going thru my products and came across some ULI Leave-On hair mositurizer. I've been using this since Sunday and let me say that its like brand new hair! I bought it a little more than a year ago from my old salonist who wanted me to try it out. Of course, at first I was using it incorrectly but instead of trashing it- it went in the cabinet...and I'm SO GLAD I KEPT IT!

If you have super, super dry hair...or very porous hair that sops up darn near anything you put on it this stuff is for you! Depending on how generously you use it- you can use it daily and not have product buildup. It leaves the hair supple and flowing but it kicks a mean kick. Of course its water based so it's not even greasy/oily to the touch and the smell is ok (but it's no Herbal Essences!).

Aside from all that, it is made and distributed by a Black company. For those of you who have seen the B.O.B.S.A. clip, this should be of particular interest to you. The price is very affordable- $8 for 8 ounces or $20 for 32 ounces...you can't beat that!

Ok, I'm turning this rave into an infomercial, but seriously yall check out the link. Especially if you have dry hair, are looking for a good moisturizer, or just need to have some variation in your moisturizers.

If I can find it, I will post that B.O.B.S.A. link when I find it. If somebody else has it, it would be great if you post it...just as a reminder as to why we should support Black haircare producers and distributors.

Yall have a great one!

This is the direct link to the product. You can add it to the shopping cart from there and everything.

The ingredients are as follows (from my bottle):

highly purified water, Factor ND botanical extract blend, oleth-2, PEG 75 lanolin,polyquaternium-37, propylene glycol dicaprate, PPG-1, trideceth-6, polyquaternium-7, fragrance,DMDM, hydantoin, color.

thanks for posting this. I don't know how i missed it. :)

Looks like something I need for my daughters hair. I just need to figure out ow to purchase it. The link leads me to believe that it is only sold to professionals...

It is supposed to be sold only to pro's...but I got so far as the Paypal checkout w/out problem. I don't know about beyond that b/c I have a full bottle here so I don't need to order just yet. HTH :)

This sounds like a great product especially with your testimonial. I would like to try it (jotting it down on my wish list...) :D

:perplexed :( ... its not fair, its got the ingredients in it that i can't pronounce, and im trying to stay away from these types of products, its a shame because it sounds like my hair could do with some of this.

Sounds interesting. I went to the link under conditioners. Is it this one
176-1-big.jpg

ULI MOISTURE SEAL FORTIFIED WITH SHEA BUTTER & SILK will restore moisture and enhance natural shine to dry hair. Apply to wet hair before roller-setting or blow-drying to protect the cuticles from thermal damage. This shea butter based conditioner works quickly to restore moisture, shine and bounce to dry, overworked hair.

That's the info. It sounds interesting. What exactly is in it/ Would you mind putting up the ingrediant list if it hasn't been done already? it sounds wonderful, but I would like a bit more info before spending the cash

No, I haven't tried that one yet. This is the one I have:

there isn't a salon that sells it in Florida. there's a distributor in the next town though. i'm calling them first thing tommorow cause i've been looking for a good moisturizer

My little cousin uses the ULI Luster/Moisturizer. It's one of the very few things that she uses on her hair (especially since she curls it with the curling iron a lot). She got it from her stylist also. When I last visited them on Thanksgiving, I got a wiff of it and it smelled kinda nice. It provided nice shine too.

Here is her picture. By the way, that's her natural hair color.

This needs to be shout from the roof top to all AA.

I want to order some but I have exceed my limit for the year! LOL, I am going to wait for a few more reviews, the ingredients (lanolin) make it sound like it is heavy and might weigh my fine hair down.

::Waiting on a hair expert to tell us more about the ingredients::

I remember reading the ingredients in the ULI Luster/Moisturizer and they weren't too bad. I don't remember what exactly was in it, but it must have been good because I just don't put anything on my hair. I know there were at least 1 or 2 silicones in it though.

Yeah, I've tried it only once though when I went to Birmingham for Thanksgiving. I liked it.

I haven't tried the ULI Leave-In that Kamilah is talking about though, but it does sound interesting.
