Am I the only one who likes layers?

Audra, I agree with you! I love layers! I can't wait until my hair is past bra strap in Layers, then I can do my Farrah wings (modernized). Blunt hair cuts have never been appealing to me.

I like it blunt in the back b/c it looks thicker/fuller. I like the way layers look on other people when it's curled, but I know that once I lay it flat or put it in a ponytail it's gonna look thin on me.

yes, u r the only one audra.. LOL j/k
I like layers, it's the growing out phase that annoys me /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Layers only look really good to me if a person has EXTREMELY thick hair OR if the person has slight layers or only face framing layers. Otherwise, I am in love with blunt cuts. Plus I like hair to look "neat" and a blunt cut is an easy way to do that. Too bad my hair grows in layers...and not cute ones may I add.

This would be too full wouldnt it? Layers make your hair look thicker ...

I dont mean extreme layers, but enough to have some hairstyling. Why a person would want hair all one length is beyond me. I guess they feel that way about layers /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

My hair has been cut in layers for as long as I can remember, and I don't think they're going anywhere any time soon!! /images/graemlins/tongue.gif I don't mind them... I think they make my hair look more full...

The back of my hair is generally one length and the sides of my hair are layered. I love my layers! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I like it blunt across the very bottom but layers all around. And that's good for me since my hair grew out in layers and I wasn't about to cut it to shoulder length to get rid of my layers. Heck I'm not even going to even out my V at the very bottom till I reach my goal in May...lol.

Layers make hair look thin to me. I always thought blunt cuts make hair look way thicker. It does a world of difference in my hair.

I LOVE /images/graemlins/love.gif the layered look. I want layers once I reach a desired length. Right now the middle and back of my hair grow the fastest so getting layers would result in me taking longer to reach a suitable length.

if you wear yr hair curly, layers prevent triangle-head, especially if hair is around shoulder-length. once it gets longer i think it might be less of an issue. but i love my layers--they make my hair look like a style rather than just a bit o' wilderness. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

My hair is slighty layered as well and I love it. I think that the layers give the hair more movement and it REALLY looks great when you roller wrap your hair.

/images/graemlins/clap.gif Yes Audra, I also love layers, at least right now. I also love "V's" in the back, which soooo many ladies dislike. I saw a girl in church with almost waist length hair and it was in a "v". It was very pretty.

My hair was a long even length last year and I looked like "Morticia". /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif Eventhough I was mad at the time, I'm glad that my former SHS trimmed/CUT my hair in layers. I'm actually thinking about cutting some more in, but I'm going to wait until Spring. I also think some of my layers are natural since the growth rate varies in certain sections.

This is funny, I just had this conversation with Lierin. /images/graemlins/drunk.gif

This exactly how I prefer my hair. Whenever I trim my hair this is what I'm usually aiming for.

i also like layers and the "v"! i actually have both but i'm growing my layers out right now and when i get 4 more inches of growth i will cut them in again.

My hair is currently layered. I'm going to keep my hair in layers. It looks fuller and sexy on me. Others look good in blunt cuts. Whatever works for you, but I'm going to do my thang with layers.

Exactly! And my hair grows in layers too /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif I like the movement and the illusion of a style, but they make my hair look thinner. I do plan to eventually have a blunt cut in the back and keep a few long layers in the front.

I am the same. I love layers, but as my hair gets longer, I think layers will make it look thin. I have fine hair and think that if I start layering it will look a little thin. I am still growing out layers right now. Once I get the shortest layers to a good length, I will blunt cut and see what I get. When my hair was above shoulder length, I lived in layers and it was really nice, full and bouncy.

I love layers, and how they look when the hair is curled. I just don't like mine.. they make my hair look thinner. I'm growing them out so that I could have longer layers though.

Another fine haired lady here. Layers make my hair look thin, too. /images/graemlins/frown.gif I got a good trim to eliminate some of my layers with my last touch up and my hair looks so much fuller.

Layers are fine. My hair grows in layers, so I made peace with it and find styles that accomodate the layers. I'm not going to drive myself crazy waiting for my hair to be all 1 length.

Layers used to be very popular years ago, but they are not so popular nowadays. Give it time, everything is cyclical. It will come back in fashion.

I luv layers actually. Since I'm texturized, I feel like layering is a must with curly hair. When I was fully relaxed, back in the day, my hair was layered as well. Sometimes I want blunt hair, only because I haven't had it in so long....

The blunt cut is too neat for me. I like some sexy wildness to my hair. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Layers also give my pressed hair some movement and accentuate the thickness.
