I have been in this forum for quite a while. One oil that many rave about is Amla oil. I always wanted it to work for me, but for some reason...Amla oil has no love for my hair at all.

When I use it, it makes my hair tangle like cazy and it gets fragile. THis happened when I was relaxed and used it. THe result was the same when I was natural and used it.:spinning: I mean I tried..used it without any heat/no sitting under the dryer, with heat sitting under hair dryer.

no heating Left overnight, not left over night. heated slightly the oil only, not heating the oil..still Fagile tangle city was always my result.

Am I the only one who experienced this??

No, I hate it. It was like... ugh. Is it even oil? I got the orange/coral colored one. It's more like a pointless serum. John Frieda Frizz-Ease does a better job and it's been on the market forever.

Is this a store bought product or an oil you made yourself. I never heard of an oil making hair tangly and fragile. If it's store bought maybe try making your own - heat up a little coconut oil, or any other oil you like. Add a few spoonfuls of amla and store it in a glass jar. Use it as a hot oil treatment, or for an oil rinse, however you like. Never apply too much of any kind of oil.

When I looked at the ingredients of the Dabur Amla Oil...the second(I believe) was Mineral Oil...once I saw that, I decided not to purchase.
That could be the reason why your hair hated it though, if that's the same brand you used.

I've noticed that those argan oils have like 2 or 3 cones as the first ingredients and the actual argan oil is way at the bottom. I've noticed this at sally's.

it smells like perfumed poop so no matter how great it was on my hair, i would never buy it again

Can you describe your hair? and also which amla oil are you using, the only one who is on the market is by Dabur and it's not a true amla oil
it's just mineral oil with 0.5% of amla extract lol or.. not lol v_v"
try to do your own amla oil by infusing amla powder in your favorite oil.

I haven't had luck with alma either. I used dabur.
I haven't used it since I've been natural, but when relaxed/ texlaxed/ transitioning my hair just got tangly too.
