It's hard to tell but it looks like you need a couple of more inches. Is your hair wet in this pic?

yeah I had just shampooed it i was getting ready to Dc....Sorry i just wanted to take a pic...ill take a dry one ..once it dries
I know if i used some heat on my hair it would be at least another 2 inches...ithink

Thanks ladies...grrrrrrr I guess i have to up the protective styles and vitamin regimen...ill try again in June to compare pics....

Same here. I think you have an inch or two more to go. You should be by your next perm

Umm.. I think you are APl.. once that hair gets blow dried it straightened .. you are there.. you are pretty much there now.. Do you relax/texlax? And I consider APL to be when a significant piece of the hair is there for the V shaped growers like myself.. :) Nice hair!

Thanks...yes i relax i am three weeks post in that pic ia m currently on a 4 month strectch.....i will need to go to the support relaxer thread for assistance with that

I think we need to put together photos or drawings of the standards for the lengths.
So we have something to go by.
My long term goal is APL and I am not sure where I am as off today???

I agree that would be some much easier....I do know,,,,thanks to my handy measuring tape,,,,I only need 6 more inches to reach Bsl.,..lol

I can't see where your armpits are in this photo but it looks like you have a couple more inches to go.

It looks like you may have over an inch to go. If your hair was wet in this pic, even w/ a relaxer, it should shrink some when it's dry. You most definitely should be there after your 4 month stretch, though!

It's hard to tell in the pictures. I can't really see where your armpit is.

Are you going to post pics when it's dry?

I was but , i have gotten a little discouraged.....andddd i THINK i am going to wait unitl my next relaxer which will be sometime in the second week of April.,......When i bluntly that lenghth...ihope...like all the ladies have been saying so fair i need a couple more inches....

I understand. I feel like I have been "almost APL" since the end of the last year. LOL. But I don't want to post pics either because I want to be SURE.

Good luck with your stretch. I am currently stretching into what may become a transition if I can manage my hair.

HHG. Don't be discouraged.

It looks like you are really close to APL... What issues are you having with the stretch? I know co-washing and frequent washes period help me with stretching.

There is a full body chart floating around somewhere......and as for APL the standard is to wrap a towel under your arms and if your hair reaches that point then you're APL.

Thanks laides you have been really informative....my issues with the stretching are the styles i am able to do once I am over 12 weeks post....It becomes more challenging and i try not to come my hair at ALL. because i know my hair is fragile and i am trying to retain as much hair as possible.
