I brought the whole Affirm Fiberguard relaxer system which was very expensive. I have this associate at work that found out...I didn't want her to know because she's always begging to get her hair done for "free". Now ladies I love to do some hair I like to make hair look nice and style it and stuff
smile.gif
.....that's why I am on this board. She begs me to deaf to do her hair, she calls my house, cell phone. I gave in and did it
ohwell.gif
....I shouldn't of her hair came out so nice. I relaxed it trimmed it and rollerset it for her I can not do a jacked up job because I don't want anyone leaving my house talking about their hair looks bad. She came in to work today saying girl everyone was complimenting me on my hair this weekend..everyone said how nice it looked and what relaxer I used they said you should do hair on the side...I was so mad. Do you know she didn't even offer me one penny not even a free lunch I am soooooo mad with myself. I just want to say you cheap b?&$tch don't ask me to do your hair anymore I don't care if you are broke nothing in life is totally free. I would probably not have took her money ( stop lying) but it's the thought that counts she could have at least offered. I just feel used

If you wanted money....why not ask her up front?

If you plan to do it again, maybe do that next time.

I know how you feel and I learned that it's best just to be upfront and honest about everything.

I understand that you didn't do it for the dollars, but next time (if there IS a next time
look.gif
) just be upfront: "Look, I'll do your hair for you. No problem. Let's do it like this- I do your hair and you treat me to lunch?" OR "Well, the stuff I use is pretty expensive (I only use the best
wink.gif
) so if you don't mind hooking me up w/"amount here" I'd be more than happy to hook YOU up."

You gave her one freebie... don't feel too bad b/c your good will come back to you. But from now on, treat it as "friendly business" and get exactly what YOU want out of the deal, too!

No ladies actually I didn't want any money because I will do hair for free it's like a hobbie to me...but she got enough freebies it was time for her to pay and she made it seem like she knew that....I guess the joke was on me. But it won't happen again. I just expect more out of people my mom always taught me that nothing is for free and at least offer. She just pulled a slick one. I learned my lesson though

I think she should have AT LEAST OFFERED LUNCH OR SOMETHING...I MEAN IF SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING NICE FOR YOU RETURNING THE FAVOR IS JUST AS NICE...VIA A KIND GESTURE

ATLIEN...I FEEL YOU...

when my friend does my eyebrows i offer something...and she has been my friend since h/s but although she doesnt ask for anything..to me its being courteous and considerate when you at least make an offer

Thank you lady

this is all I was trying to say. For a minute there I thought maybe I was thinking in the wrong way.

Yes that was grimy of your co-worker...but she will regret it in the end. Just to think if she had offered you even $20 you probably would have turned it down and still did her hair for free. Well now she will spend a lot more and maybe not be so lucky to get a good stylist. (We all know how hard it is too find one of those)
