Growafrohairlong mentions using aluminum foil on damp ends with a medium heated iron (but not hot because it would burn your hair)

Back in 2004 someone mentioned deepconditoning with aluminum

Anyone do either techniques presently?
(im really interested in the flatiron thing though, that seems like a good way to protect your ends from heat & lock in moisturie)

I use this, for my ends I colour on natural hair and have had my ends cut/ trimmed cause they wouldn't come out smooth (they weren't split just rough) after this my cuticle was nice and smooth, so I now do this once every 6 or so weeks after a colour retouch
