How is aloe vera used in the hair? I thought I noticed some speaking of using it in the hair, but how? I purchased some at walgreens tonight and have no clue how to use it, HELP!!!!

I've never purchased aloe in a bottle. I generally just buy a leaf, slice it up, throw some in a water bottle, and spritz my hair. Sometimes I just squish it up until it's liquidy, remove the chunks and rub it into my hair.
Have you checked out all of the ingredients?

My moisturizer has aloe vera as the main ingredient. It is called "Homocrin Natural Nourishing Conditioner For Dry and Brittle Hair". I came across this product at TJ Maxx one day and only paid $5 for it. I ran out of NTM leave-in cream one day and ended up using this. My hair felt completely different. It truly moisturizes and hydrates my hair, and makes it unbelievably BUTTERY SOFT hair.

When I ran out, I hit up every single TJ Maxx in a 30-mile radius...I was on a mission! I finally found it on Amazon for $18. Although it is not cheap, it truly does the trick; it is a staple product and have all my friends and family using it. I am convinced that it is the aloe that softens the hair. It smells sooo good, like cherries. I have yet to actually use it as a conditioner though!

Here are the ingredients:
Ingredients: Aloe Vera Barbadensis, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dicaprylyl Ether, Behentrimonium Chloride, Butyrospermum Parkii, Cetyl Ricinoleate, Zinc Sulfate, Water, Stearyl Beeswax, Behenyl Beeswax Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydroxypropyltrimoniumhydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Panthenol, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Orbignya Oleifera, Buxus Chinensis, Cera Alba, Citrus Paradisi, Chicorium Intybus, Acacia, Niacin, Lactobacillus Ferment, Lactococcus Ferment, Lactic Acid, Perfume.

DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED WITHOUT OMG, SLES, ALLERGENS AND PARABENS

I don't know if you've tried Giovanni Direct Leave in, but it has a lot of aloe in it, too. I'm addicted to it. Aloe=softness

I buy aloe vera gel from Whole Foods, but u can get it at pretty much ne health food store. Def liquid but thicker than water. Then I juts put it in a spray bottle, mix with water and spritz my hair. I tried buying the whole aloe vera plant, but it was waaaaaaay too messy to try and take the gel out of it

Pure aloe vera gel can be used like hair gel. Pure aloe vera juice can be used as a hair moisturizer/refresher and as face toner.

I use Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel to smooth my hairline when I bun....alcohol free so it makes it soft and moisturized too...I learned about it from a LHCF member's youtube....

I just used aloe vera gel (Trader Joe's brand - 99% aloe)) on my hair for the first time last night. I was very surprised at how soft and moisturized my hair was this morning. I was a little concerned about the other ingredients, so I'm going to look them up tonight.

I've done this but, as I mentioned in my review of the type I used (gel and spray) Aloe Vera can have a strengthening effect. This can make fine hair brittle or keep it nice and strong. One needs to have a watchful eye when using it and add it to their regimen accordingly.

I use it after I moisturize as a well what I call a topper for me on top of twists it makes them shiney and curl better.
Today I used some on *a not so good job flat ironing* and it made my ponytail stay down all day the wind couldn't even blow it. I don't know about a moisturizer but after one is great.

I use Fruit of the Earth aloe vera gel as well (I like the consistency). To it I add vegetable glycerin and sometimes a little jojoba oil.

You can't beat it for moisture and shine.
