Aloe for protein

I have and I can't really describe it. I guess I could say that I have used it as a protein pre-shampoo treatment and it has worked wonders this way to minimize breakage and restore moisture as well though. It's weird how it works like that on my hair.

My hair felt both strong and soft all at once. I mixed aloe vera gel with evoo and Aussie Moist conditioner and it came out wonderfully. I will use this pre-treatment again, I'll tell ya that much:yep:.

Thanks, I relaxed my hair last week and I was thinking of using this as a natural protein treatment, I might mix it with a protein-ish conditioner tho just in case it goes left on me. I've tried using aloe the way other members do, and it always left my hair hard, then I realized it might serve me better if the product is re-purposed as a protein treatment treatment. Thinking up prepooing with it, letting it get hard then wash and dc.

I use 100% AVJ alone and mix it, I've been doing this since my first significant stretch last year. It works well for me. I'm not an ingredients guru, but this is about the only protein I have in my reggie, other than the Giovanni Leave-In that I don't use too often.

I use it in an app bottle and apply directly to my NG, I also have it in my Ayurvedic oil mixture that I use. I add it to my DC's from time to time as well.

Thanks NanCeBo Twin! Any differences in hair that you attribute to the aloe?

I attribute the fact that I haven't had any breakage issues during my stretches to using it, but I don't know for sure if that's the reason.

However, a couple of weeks ago I felt like I was OVER moisturized, so I immediately went for my 100 AVJ, both via app bottle and adding it to my DC. My issue was corrected directly after.
