I purchased some at a farmers market a while back, now I'm about out  and wanted to see where you ladies have found the best bargain online....

Thanks,

Hi JLove ;)

From Nature with Love (www.fromnaturewithlove.com) is where I purchase my Emu Oil. I get the 8 oz. bottle for $25 and it is well worth it. A little goes a very long way and I even share it with my family. :)

I have to purchase this product pure and from someone that I trust; otherwise I may end up with a compromised product, which is a waste of time, money and the benefits that I'm looking for. So again, it's worth the money. ;)

They have a few Emu selections as you will see in this list of oils:

http://www.fromnaturewithlove.com/searchus.asp

Here's a direct link to the Emu oil that I use:

Hope this helps.

Great minds think alike...I was just looking at FNWL - just waiting for someone to chime in :)

Thanks so much....off to buy

JLove, no real bargains have been found by me. AMAZON.COM has it for about $12, excluding shipping and it comes from VitaminShoppe anyway, it's where I get my tiny bottle walking in for $19.00. I think Longview Farms has a monopoly on it, their site costs even more. I'd probably stick with Vitaminshoppe, wouldn't want to be cheated and actually buying chicken fat!

:yay: So glad to be of help. You will love their service...FNWL is awesome. Happy "Emu" to you. ;)

From Nature With Love has a great product. I also found something very comparable for a lot less from:

http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com

I think the difference in price comes down to the packaging. I've ordered from FNWL many times and will again in the future. They used more expensive packaging, their web layout is more sophisticated, and they have a very focused range of products.

I spent a day doing comparisons of emu oil a few months back and decided that wholesalesuppliesplus had the best price for quality product. All of their other oils and essential oils were top notch. I was very pleased and both vendors get the thumbs up.

Just three reviews of the emu oil from wsp. If I find some for FNWL I'll post. I rave about them so they called to get permission to use my comments in their catalog!!

You are so right about Longview Farms which is why I get my Emu Oil form FNWL. Longview Farms is an excellent company; they seem to 'own' the Emu industry (not really ); they have a wonderful Emu Oil product selection but they cost more and so does their shipping cost more and it takes a little longer to receive their products.

I ordered their Emu Oil soaps and I love them, but I'm hoping to find them locally in a Health Food Store/Herbal Shoppe for much less.

The Emu Oil from the Vitamin Shoppe is okay, but I cannot vouch for their freshness and purity (level) of product; especially its source and processing and shelf life.

It's worth the extra cost from places like FNWL and yes, even Longview Farms. I'd rather pay the extra money knowing the product seal of purity than wasting money on one of less quality.

Pure Emu oil goes five layers deep into our skin surface, so whatever we use it with, we will get the benefits beyond the surface of our skin. Although I frequent this store for many items, for Emu Oil I don't feel the purity of the product coming from the Vitamin Shoppe in comparison to FNWL and definitely Longview Farms.

Thanks P1, I was going to ask about essential oils next....Ya'll get outta my head:lachen: :lachen: :lachen: How was the shipping - fast or slow?

Shimmie, the one from VITAMINSHOPPE is definitely the ADVANCE PURE REFINED from LONGVIEW FARMS, with the quality seal. The 4 ounce bottle. I'm sure the emu contributed greatly to the healing of my scalp used with vitamin E and neosporin, would never do without having some of it in the house.

In my experience, the shipping from wsp was VERY fast and FNWL was quick. I lived in Los Angeles at the time. WSP ships their essential oils in amber glass bottles with wide mouth screw lids. They then pack them into the egg carton type material. The oils ship in flexible plastic containers with flip lids. Everything arrived safely and as ordered.

FNWL ships their products in small tubs. The oils come in amber bottles with narrow necks. With them everything came safely and as ordered.

I've gotten the rosemary hair oil blend from FNWL. I made my own with ingredients from FNWL, WSP, and my local health food store.

Essential oils I like from WSP are the rosemary oil, clove, and orange blend, a grapefruit/sage blend (??). I'll go back and check and come back with exacts.

eta: I went back through the list and I can't remember. LOL!! It's been so long. I know I had something with orange, and something with grapefruit. I purchased about six different essential oils or eo blends. Just a note on eos, Patchouli has an earthy scent that can quickly overpower an entire carrier oil. Same goes for ginger eo. I'd stay away from this last. I used NOW for the last two and they're the type that even a DROP too much can ruin a batch of oil.

Wow! I will look at this. FNWL is still my love  You should see my home supplies... and my skin :yep:

I love FNWL but I've got a big heart. Room to love every good wholesaler out there with a good product. :)

Thanks for sharing this. :) I've never seen this at my Vitamin Shoppe.

If it's from Longview Farms, I will definitely ask them (Vitamin Shoppe) to order it for me as I have ordered directly from Longview Farms before. I still have their Emu oil soaps and I really do like them a lot. Their products are pure and I trust them the same as FNWL. ;)

I hear you and your are absolutely right for having room for other options. I love good deals as well. I had so much success with FNWL and they are always giving me 'free' gifts when I order (a product that I've never used before and I find useful). FNWL has spoiled me :yep: When you find a good product along with such good service, it's a true blessing. ;)

I'm glad to know about your wholesalers...;) I'm there right now looking at their containers (small bottles that I can use for travel).

Jlove,

Also check out LB processors. They have good deals and specials so that you can try out their different types of oil. I get the tub of solid emu oil for $50. It's a great value, it lasted me almost a year I think.

FNWL has some great container deals too. If you shop with them, you might as well use their containers and save on shipping charges from two different locations.

hth,

Just wanted to give an update - I found the emu oil locally!!!! There is a natural health store on Wisconsin Ave in Chevy Chase MD, that sells emu oil products from Thunder Ridge (in Manassas, VA).

Thanks for you help ladies :)

What exactly are the benefits of Emu oil in relation to hair?

I also love FNWL BTW. They deliver very quickly and their product selection is great!

Emu oil is like a wonder oil. It's great for improving overall scalp condition, including decreased hair loss & dandruff.

I think it's a skin care oil...I might be wrong bumping for all the faithful users above :-)

Seems like something I want to try (jeez Louise, NOT another haircare purchase! :lachen: )

Cool to know. How long did it take for her to see results? How many times a day did she apply the oil?

My mom has used it on a surgery scar and I think it did better than cocoa butter.
