My cheap a** finally decided to come out of lurking after about a year. Im Ctosha, I live in Toronto, Canada and wanted to say hello to all of you. Now let me give yall my hair stats: Im natural about maybe 4a/b I think and its been a year. I transistioned for about 15 months and last april I became officially natural and although I am loving every moment of it but on the flip side I still have moisture issues and need to find something to keep my hair moisturized for the entire week. I havent used heat in about a year and when i stretch some parts of my hair with my hand its about reaches the bottom of my armpit but my hair is in layers so its the longest layer that reaches that part. I won't make this too long but right now my current products and regieme (sp) is wash weekly with creme of nature shampoo(yes i read that thread about the replacement of the old ones) deep condition weekly with le kair cholesteral, then style mainly with oyins burnt sugar thats about it. But just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone

WELCOME!

I am a former lurker too! Your regimen seems solid but I am sure you will find a way to solve your moisture issues if you take a look at some of the threads. I have a couple of threads that talk about this problem too. Glad you decided to join us and good luck to ya!

Welcome to the forum!!

On a side note:
I think it's very hard to find a hair product that will keep a person's hair moisturized for an entire week without reapplying it at all. I think most products (even the best ones) need to applied at least every few days.

Welcome!

You may want to give Cantu shea butter leavein repair cream. I doubt it will moisturize for a week, but its excellent for retention across several days. I'm relaxed and my hair tends to be dry.

Welcome and all the best in your hair journey. Pics, pics, pics - i hope you have some stored away.

I love ORS Olive oil cream for moisture, you definately need to experiment. Others like to make spays to spritz their hair with daily.
Sometimes it can also be down to what you do with your hair hair as well, like how you wash it, whether you wear protectie styles etc.

Anyway as im sure you are aware, there is plenty of information here.

Enjoy :)
