...do they really work? Or are they kinda like a "chicken soup for the sista's soul"? :p That's kinda the first thing I thought when I first joined this forum. In an awed voice: "soooo many challenges...." :dizzy:

They are effective if you stick to them.....

Also, I only join ones that I will stick too. Never overdo it. I think I am only in 2 challenges: Super Grow Out 2005 and the Vitamin Challenge.

Also a lot of these challenges are related. I'm on the baggie challenge, the super grow out challenge, and the 30 day surge challenge. The way see it, the baggie challenge and the surge challenge are helping achieve the goals of the super grow out challenge.

All of my challenges are related also.
The water and vitamin challenge is helping me with my Skin challenge and the Surge along with the other challenges are helping me with my Super grow out Challenge!

I think it covers everything!

I think i'm on super grow out challenge and no new product challenge.

I guess I forget about them half the time.

I agree with so1913. They are effective if you stick with them although some of them are just experiments. I'm on the baggie challenge because i know it works. I've done it consistently before and gained a LOT of length. Don't over do it though and STICK WITH IT! I switch between challenges so often because I get bored, but I am sticking with this baggie challenge though and once I get my shower fixed I'm starting/joining a Daily CO wash challenge. Those are the two things that made my hair grow like crazy.

me too...oh and no new products. :)

Mine are related too. (the ones i stick with)
Super Grow Out 2005, BS by 2005, 6" by April 2005..

I pop in and out of the bun/braids challenges.

i compare all the challenges to diets. now for a lot of people atkins for example works wonders but i'm just not the type. i do my own thing. i also think that sooner or later (if you are on such a challenge) you will want to try something different. may it be a new product or some braids or a new hairstyle or some color. it's just too many things nowadays that you can do with your hair....

Except diets are designed to be temporary. People usually stay on a diet until they reach their desired goal although most do not. Ideally, one would need to make a permanent lifestyle change.

With hair challenges, they can be short term or permanent. Some are experiments but some are to be always used, not just until one reaches their hair goal.

I'm in the water challenge, for example, which is forever for me since I've been doing it most of my life. :fat: I feel that these challenges help to inspire and keep some on track. They can also add some fun to hair-growing too.
