Hey All You Apoghee 2 Step Ladies!:wave:

Do You Shampoo Afterwards or just Rinse it out and then Deep Condition?

Please let me know how you are using 2 Step.

Thank You!:thankyou:

I've done both and I prefer to just rinse thoroughly and then DC. When I shampoo after my hair just doesn't feel as strong, as though I rinsed out some of the product.

  • I shampoo first
  • Apply Aphogee 2 step
  • Rinse thoroughly with water
  • Then co-wash (2x) to get rid of any residual hardened protein
  • Then I DC

I clarify, 2 step and rinse with warm water, then DC overnight. I find that I don't need to shampoo afterwards because 2 step doesn't contain any fillers

@divachyk

I can remember folks saying when they used Nexxus Emergencee they shampooed afterwards and I was like::eh: because I always went straight to DC'ing.

So I was wondering how folks were using Apoghee 2 Step. I've had a bottle for a while now and wanted to try it out soon.

I did this last night: I washed, did the Aphogee 2 step, rinsed thoroughly for five minutes, and followed up with a moisturizing DC

@IDareT'sHair, the only time I shampoo after any protein is if I protein treat on unwashed hair. Every blue moon, I will apply Komaza Protein Strengthener to dry hair, let it sit and then shampoo and deep condition. That's purely to avoid multiple times of getting in and out of the shower.

I only rinse well, very well at that and then follow up with an intense moisturizing deep condition. :)

When I used to use it, I'd just rinse extremely well by putting on a timer for 7-10 mins and just making sure the product was out of my hair. I'd DC or put in a softening rinse out conditioner to soften my hair. I prefer the rinse-out conditioners over the DCs.
