Thanks SO MUCH for all the /images/graemlins/up.gif /images/graemlins/up.gif /images/graemlins/up.gif ladies! /images/graemlins/kiss.gif I honestly don't know what I'd do without this forum sometimes! I'm gonna stick it out and go with my plan to cut of the ends on New Year's Eve, so I should have a better idea of what my curls will do in another few months! /images/graemlins/spinning.gif /images/graemlins/spinning.gif /images/graemlins/spinning.gif
I know what you mean Ayanna. This in between stage crap is getting old now. It's funny because the back of my hair is similar to yours, I have only a couple inches of relaxed hair and a couple of inches of very springlike/coily hair. My bun is also my safety net until my hair gets long enough to go into it's own bun. But you worked so hard at this! I think you should wait and cut your ends to see how curly your hair will be. I have one section behind my ear where I chopped to monitor my growth and as soon as I did that I noticed how much more springy my coils were. it was like the relaxer was weighing it down before. Good luck with everything, your hair is beautiful!

It's beautiful, Brownsuga, why would you tell her to relax it??? Could you elaborate. I fully support ayana doing anything she wants to do with her hair, but.....why are you saying she should relax it?

Her hair would be beautiful either way-relaxed or natural. Since it seems that she is frustrated with her hair often and she is limited in her styling options while transitioning, I say end it all and relax (it seems she's leaning toward relaxing anyway). The two texture frustration would end if she desires to cut off the permed ends, which she doesn't seem ready to do just yet- my 2 cents.

[ QUOTE ] Ayana has pretty curls and there is no reason to relax her texture.

I had to second your response with a /images/graemlins/huh.gif of my own. But back to the post, i think her hair looks good both ways, but if you are uneasy about the end result you should wait before transitioning fully until you are more comfortable with how you will feel towards your natural hair. No need to transition, chop only to relax in 2 weeks. I think she'll stick it out though and eventually chop.
BTW.... Happy Birthday Ms K!!!!! /images/graemlins/dance7.gif /images/graemlins/birthday2.gif
