Like some others prob have said, you may need to increase the amount of times you DC if you are going to wear your hair out in the cold weather. Oh and i co-sign with using a water-based moisturizer before you seal with the coconut oil. HHG

thanks ladies. I went ahead and braided my hair to give my hair a break...haha no pun intended, (sorry i'm so lame =D). But i saw some silicon mix, so i'll alternate between that and hawaiian silky as my water based moisturizer, and then i'll seal with the coconut oil. Also I'll deep condition more since it's winter, I'm not sure how often but I'll up more, i just deep conditioned last night so I'll see how it goes. Thanks for all of your advice and wisdom!
