to correct it? Do you wash and condish that same day or give it a day or so and then try it over again? I messed up my bantu knot set (got too anxious and took them down while wet) but I just washed and DCed yesterday. I'm thinkin like well, I want the DC I did to last at least two more days, despite the ugly hair now. :ohwell: Soooo....what do you do? Start over that day? The next? How long? :look:

If it is dry and/or crunchy because of experimenting with new products, I'll redo it the same day. If it is the style that I don't like, I'll leave it until the following day or two because I can always pull it into a bun; plus, some styles look better the day after.

Hmm, my hair does feel a little crunchy since I didn't use my normal leave in (Headress). I got my scarf on now so that I can tame it into a bun. :yep:

I generally don't re-wash but I will get it wet again...I try to rinse out as much of the product as I can then I start over

this question is tricky....i have this thing where my hair has to be done once i step foot out my door so once i mess up a style i try to fix it as soon as possible. as far as your question...it depends on what products i put in my hair...if i put too much gel in the style that was messed up then i would wash the gel out and start all over the same day. i try not to play too much in my hair in one day, so if the style caused a lot of stress on my head i would slick my hair in a pony and work on it the next day.
Hope i helped :perplexed

I'll wait. I try not to do to much to my hair on any given day. If a flat iron or rollerset doesnt come out the way I like...it goes into a ponytail or bun until I co-wash. Anything can be resolved with a bun or ponytail.

I use direct heat weekly so if its messed up I will do my hair on day 5 instead of 7 or wear braid outs/twist outs/buns until time to wash.

I'm starting to think that pincurls are the answer to everything..... and if they don't come out then you can put your hair up in a claw or nice french roll...might have to flatten the ng, might not....

BUT

If I mess up and over moisturize or give too much protein, i try and redo immediately (esp with too much moisture because it just falls and breaks if the wind blows)

I would wait 2-3 days.

If my hair was relaxed and I did not like my do I would change it in a heartbeat but I would not dc unless my hair felt hard or something along those lines.

If I had a press and curl and all I needed to do to change the style was to reroll then I would do that in a heartbeat but if meant rewashing, blowdrying and pressing and curling then I would deal with the bad do until the next wash/pressing/curling go round.

If it was a twist out/braid out/bantu set that went bad I would redo but if they were braids or twists put in to last for 2-3 weeks (it takes me hours to put mine in) I would suck it up and deal with the bad do.

agreed. i prefer to not wash my hair the same day if i don't like the way it came out but if i don't like the style (typically a bad roller set) i'll wrap my hair that night and hope it lats flatter tomorrow or put it up in one of those hair claw thingies. works for me!
