After Braids Treatment

What's the best after braids treatment?

I am taking mine out today and want to do a good cleansing and conditioning. Any suggestions?

I usually clarify my hair and deep condition. After a week, I may substitute a hot oil treatment for the deep condition.

I had the worst tangling/matting episode after my last real set of braids, so I don't have much advice from my personal experience. But I remember on another board someone did a hot oil treatment with olive oil after taking her braids out and she loved it--no tangling problems etc. HTH!

When i take mine out i do a pre-poo of olive oil and a reconstructor, do my usual washing and then a deep conditioner.

Aphogee protein treatment followed by joico intensive moisturising conditioner

i just took my cornrows out it was itching too much and i had some breakage. with the way the braider combed the hair and the tightness. i was forced to use shampoo creme of nature green label then my praital tonight i m mix the amla powder with olive oil and keep it overnight then i m do a cowash and twists then put the mtg and baggy it for a while. i m try to go get some masketi oil next week. i m currently in twists

I usually pre poo with Amla, so maybe I will do that, clarify and give myself a hot oil treatment. Then give myself a super deep conditioner...

remove braids, deep condition and comb thru, wash and condition again and style as normal.

I took mine out yesterday. I clarified, deep conditioned w/ protein followed by a moisturizing deep conditioning.
