It's a moisturizing reconstructor to make the hair soft but strong. It's not hard core protien because of the moisturizing properties. My mom uses this at her salon often after a relaxer with heat.
I use this product too, particularly after relaxers. When I started my hair journey three years ago, my stylist used this weekly to stop my fried, damaged hair from breaking and shedding. This kept my damaged hair stable as it grew out.
You can use it full strength or mix it in with another DC.
I use it every other week and after a relaxer. It is supposed to be used after the Kera Care Super Reconstructor...and believe me...there is nothing else that can soften the hair after that reconstructor...omg..that stuff makes your hair sooo hard and unless you use the Affirm 5 in 1 it stays hard unless you use a good leave in but it stops breakage immediately..not sure what it is...does anyone know. I only tired it once..afraid to do it again. I love the 5 in 1...it's a super life/hair saver...when ever I screw up I can always turn to it and it takes care of business!
I only use it with my relaxers since it is included as one of the steps in the Affirm relaxer processing system. I use it right after rinsing out the relaxer (5 min) and then proceed to neutralize.
