Ladies, I will be going to a stylist to have my hair relaxed this weekend. He's using the Dry & Itchy relaxer with the reconstructor and then the neutralizing shampoo. What do you recommend as the next step. Do I need to DC or will a leave in be ok before he puts me under the dryer? Thank you :drunk:

P.S. I usually air dry but I'm ok with using direct heat once every 8 weeks or so when I go to the salon.

I would also say do a moisturizing DC. Also, going under the dryer is not considered direct heat. You'll be fine :)

Blowdry, press, flatiron, curling iron = direct heat.
Sitting under hair dryer, diffusing = indirect heat

Some will debate the diffusing...

Yep so he did the relaxer, used Sustenance, neutralized and then DCed my hair with Humecto. I am so very pleased. I even got a hair cut and my hair is shiny and bouncy. This stylist is definitely a keeper.
