So I think it is about that time for another trim. My ends still coil up nicely, but they are felling a little rough and ragged. I really don't want to go to a salon to do it because they tend to be so scissor happy. I always leave with a hair cut instead of a trim :nono:. Therefore, I'm thinking of doing it myself. Does anybody have any good advice about the best way I can trim without having to straighten first? Also, how do you determine how much to trim?

you can put your hair into twists and trim off the ends. i trim off about a "c" of hair when it its naturally curly state. i would say its about 1/2 of a ringlet.

How small do you make your twists?
