I'm planning to place my order for Elucence products. Before I finalize my select in this line I'm in need of help from those whom have tried these products. Please give a "Yes" vote for products you have tried and find it to be a keeper. Please vote "No" for the products you have tried that you didn't care for and have no intentions of purchasing again. Thanks for your help.

The only reason I say no on the Moisture Barrier Balm is because it really is more of a scalp protectant for the relaxer process and I don't relax at home. I've never used it as a pre-treatment hot oil as they suggested, so I may definitely try that. I still have ALOT of this left.

Don't they give you a LOT SG???? Geez....

I wonder how the serious shining spray is...

OH TRACY! The serious shining spray does exactly that: gives you SERIOUS shine--and softness too. It is really worth that $8 for 2 oz.

I've tried the Protective Barrier Balm alone as a hot oil treatment and didn't enjoy it too much. It coated my hair so much, I shampooed my hair again to get it out again. Instead, I would add a squirt of it to my honey/olive oil pre-treatments. (Can't say whether or not it was a worthwhile addition.) It took me a year to use up the whole bottle!

Unless you're doing relaxers at home, I would advise against that particular product. Love everything else Elucence, though.

Darn u Supergirl and Nyambura I just ordered the Shining Spray from Elucence

I haven't used the Protective Barrier Balm yet as a hot oil treatment. I intend to use it as extra protection against any renegade salon stylists who attempt to scalp me during my touchups!

After my last encounter with an ex-stylist, I can get enough insurance against that! Why is it SO impossible to find a stylist who is punctual AND can do touchups and styles?

They shouldn't have to be mutually-exclusive traits.

That's how I use the Barrier Balm, Nyambura. I use it to base before my touch ups at the salon.

Generally guys - I don't love it as a pre-treat either.

Too heavy.

Thanks for the review on the serious shining spray SG and Nyambura....I love a new find!

Thanks ladies for sharing your experiences with this product and for participating in the poll. Additional responses are welcome.

no that's the great thing. it is not heavy on my hair at all. it's one of the very few sprays that gives you that good amount of shine without leaving your hair looking or feeling greasy.

Thanks CurlyCrly! I ended up clicking on the show results of poll link, right clicked on the poll results and printed. Even the results that weren't visible printed out. Thanks again, I couldn't have done it, this soon, without you!

the serious shining spray didn't live up to its claim in my opinion, but it did smell good. oh and the shampoo smells really great, smells good enough to eat (but please don't eat
